"My son and I used to visit every Sunday when Lorna and Gary had this restaurant so were naturally saddened to see them go, and to find out at that time that the new owners were closed at the weekend. We were pleased to find they were now open and gave it a whirl: I always have Eggs Benedict (and you wouldn't believe the amount of places that can't seem to get the eggs right.... , and they were perfect. Solid whites, runny yolks. I WOULD have liked to see that they were free range though. My son had The big Breakfast which really WAS a big breakfast just think of everything you can, then add some! The new owners were delightful, didn't over hover (nothing worse and were very friendly. Everything clean and water provided without asking. There was the occasional middle eastern touch which was interesting and very welcome. Highly recommend."

"Cherry Cafe is my favorite place to eat and drink coffee. It's centrally located yet quietly hidden in a sunny corner behind the rotunda and clock tower. It's the best gathering place for people who walk, cycle, bus or drive and still want to socialize next to water. Perhaps it's the most romantic place to relax in Auckland. The owners have a real passion for all they do, they give friendly service and the coffee is fantastic. All are catered for whether it's for a toasted sandwich, French inspired pancakes, Vietnamese steak, moorish eggs, or the freshest chicken or beef pho."
