"We called here for a lunch out of the blue. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. It took ages to be served at the bar for drinks although it wasn't that busy, the food took around an hour to come and some of it was wrong, we overheard one member of staff speaking rather unprofessionally to another table as they were adamant they had not made a mistake but judging by our meal being slightly wrong they probably had. Two of the meals didn't come with what they were supposed to via the menu. Two puddings came out but mine didn't for another 10-15mins or so by which point the other two had finished theirs as it was going cold. Overall we were quite disappointed and I'm not sure we will return. It's a shame as the decor was quite nice and it was overlooking some lovely views."

"Myself and my girlfriend are both vegans but when we passed Caroline's legendary bakery and saw the marzipan truffles sitting on the counter, just waiting to be eaten, we couldn't resist and knew it was time to change our ways. We met the proprietor Steve,...a humble and hard-working fellow who we now have the pleasure of being on first name terms with, and we could see his enthusiasm for Caroline's. The crusty loaves on the shelves were so aesthetically pleasing that my girlfriend took a picture for her instagram @fogrock and we made a wish on the magical wishing tree on top of a display case. We met Steve's daughter,Olivia, who was a delight to talk to and she had many stories to tell us about good times in the bakery. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!"

"Really need to day a massive thankyou to the Trevor Arms Marford for looking after myself and my neice when my car broke down today nearly on A483 carriageway but managed to get to their establishment which we were stranded for 4 half hours waiting on recovery on the 13/10/23 but what made it easier was having such pleasant kind caring thoughtful staff and landlord that welcomed us made us feel at home warm safe and kept us in drinks beautiful food Thankyou so so much I'll forever be grateful we will most certainly See you soon Xxxx"

"I wanted to discuss PAT-dogs with a PAT-dog owner. it is not easy to find if they follow the Sat navigation, but there are signs on the business park. I loved the fact that it's about dogs that are rare dogs. from the guide allowed and my little dog had a great time playing with the other dogs. I'll go back."

"We visit Squire York almost every week at lunch time generally preferring the slightly quiter experience as we are both in our seventies. The food is extremely good value. Wine is sensibly priced; water provided uncomplainingly with ice and lemon as desired. Tables are clean, and chairs comfortable. Staff are courteous. We like the wide range of vegetables including potatoes three ways. Meat is excellent beef particularly tender and tasty, but all three offerings consistently good. Stuffing is tasty and yorkshire puds vary from crisp to soft ideal! We are glad that the little phase of cooking several of the veg in mustard has been dropped not every one's cup of tea but then the choice is so good that there are always plenty of alternatives. Just one small request: could you occasionally include parsnips preferably roasted? Also occasional choice of peas or sweet corn might be nice. The whole experience is highly recommended. Thanks to all the staff."

"Friend and I go for a out-of-the-house natter !! Staff are very friendly but not OTT. Love the views, was out of their hands on Friday, foggy. Just a lovely place to eat and not very far."
