"Pretty great spot by the water with a good selection of burgers. The inside feels like a old school diner and its pretty cosy. Love the pulp fiction wall art as well. The burgers pretty big serving size for the price and makes a pretty sweet meal."

"The soup was so rich in flavour. Pork based soup with roasted pork belly (with crackling as well). The ramen was quite different from other places. Thinner and crunchier."

"I am so impressed with this restaurant that I'm writing this review literally as I sit here with an empty bowl in front of me. <br/ <br/ We came in with a large dinner group which we booked for 7.30 PM. While the actual restaurant is quite small and seemed a bit cramp. The friendly and warm staff on deck really added to the environment and made it seem a lot bigger than it actually was. <br/ <br/ I ordered the chicken Pad Thai and friends and family ordered different dishes including Green Thai Curry, Massaman Curry and Chicken Salad etc. <br/ <br/ There are race reviews from everyone. My own Pad Thai was reasonably priced for what I got but flavour and meal portion size were a good balance. Highly recommend this meal <br/ <br/ Thank you team. You made my sisters birthday dinner a good one!"

"Good views of the harbour. Staff were friendly. Food was good. For entrée, we had the calamari and bread and dips. Both were tasty but portions seemed small. For mains, we had the scotch steak and lamb shanks. Steak was cooked perfectly. Lamb shanks were delicious. Meat just melted away. Was awfully quiet for a Saturday night. Not sure why. Food was good! Maybe because of the price?"

"This was handsdown the most amazing food i have possibly ever had in auckland. the best experience in a resturant staff were amazing kind, welcoming, understanding and patient. service was fast and up to the highest standard. the prices were set 'low ' considering how amazing the food was and how high quality the ingredients used clearly were. the fries, bread, brisket, salmon... everything was gorgeous, melt in the mouth and so so so good. our waitress accidentally forgot to enter one of our drinks onto our order and ever so patiently and understandingly brought the drink in a matter of minutes. such a warm and welcoming area with literally the highest quality of food possible. simple is really the best. big respect to everyone that has cultivated what goes into The Culpeper."

"Great ambiance and great food ! Recommend coming here with friends to chill and yarn, order appetizers with friends and share instead of coming here for a meal. The only thing I was not a fan was the small tight tables, hence recommend coming here for snack food lounge experience over an actual meal."

"What a gorgeous place for a high tea. I went to this Cafe last to last weekend with my two girlfriends for high tea. We made a booking and requested for specific dietary requirements( different for all three), they called me back to check twice so they are very clear about that and happy to accomodate. <br/>The place feels luxurious the moment you step in and has an esthetic feel to it, very bright and has a pleasant view. <br/>The staff is really polite and welcoming. However, I didn't want to have any hot beverage and requested for a juice for which costed me a $9. Yeah, bit of a pinch might have had a champagne instead. Have to say the juice was extremely refreshing. <br/>Everything they served from mushroom quiche to finger sandwiches also their crossoint are very flavoursome. There were more scones and sweet stuff compared to savory though. For me the coconut strawberry panacoda was the hero it was delicious. <br/>We spent good 3 hours there and had an enjoyable experience. Definitely going back!"

"Went to Katsura without reservation and found ourselves in a very elegant Japanese restaurant. The atmosphere is very pleasant with teppanyaki on the side, a bar and seating down the back. <br/ <br/ Our waitress was very friendly and attentive, constantly filling out water. <br/ <br/ We ordered the beef tataki, lobster salad, medium sashimi, pork ramen and salmon deep fried philadelphia roll. It was perfect for two and came to $103. <br/ <br/ The food came out really fast and altogether, with the seafood being very fresh! You can taste the quality."

"Stumbled upon here quite accidentally but very glad we did. <br/ <br/ Ordered the haloumi and the peanut pancake which seems to be the highlight, and for good reason it tastes just as amazing as the pictures look. The cabinet food all looked really awesome as well, would definitely have a hard time choosing next time I come! Overall just a decent, busy little brunch place in Ponsonby central."
