"The restaurant had a good, but limited menu. There was soup, salad, and a choice of set menus. For those with a smaller appetite, there were chicken, tuna and egg salad sandwiches. The setting on the water is beautiful. As this place is open during the tourist season, it is best to check availability before visiting. The staff were friendly, the food was good.The hotel, away from it all, between Kingston and Ottawa has been around since 1877 and is a world heritage site. It is a refuge for those with a desire to return to nature and check out some of the locks on the Rideau Canal."

"Having read the reviews, my expectations were very low, but overall our group had a lovely time. I think the difficulty is the Dealfind/Groupon description, and the implication you are getting $30 worth of food. If you were expecting high tea like in the Dealfind photo, it would be pretty disappointing, but if you're just looking for a cup of tea and a scone in a quaint setting, it's not that bad. The tea was nice, and our hot water was refilled without any fuss, in fact, the one lady running the tearoom went out of her way to be super accomodating to us. The sandwiches were, as others have stated, small slices of baguette with various toppings, and the scones and topping were small, but tasty enough. The cake was storebought, the chocolate was a wrapped Costco peanut butter cup, but the cookie on the dessert plate was homemade. I would never return for the food, but if you were going to the antique store anyway, it's a fine place to have a cup of tea. It's not fancy, it's not a place for foodies, but it's not terrible."
