"Just returned from a holiday in Melbourne staying in the area of Balaclava. Was recommended to try Gattica for breakfast. Found it to be a great place with friendly staff and great food. Whilst there we had a family birthday breakfast for 13 people. Still the service was the best with staff putting up a birthday banner and even providing a cake. Love you and your food and hope to visit you again."

"Thank you Sam for making my birthday dinner with my friends such a wonderful success. None of them had been to Zikrayat before. The eight of us had such a fantastic time. Everyone was totally raving about the food. We really appreciated your kind generosity in bringing us the complementary birthday dessert with the candle. I really didn't want to dance with the stunningly beautiful belly dancer ARRRR but it was great fun in the end... Especially for my friends who took multiple photos and videos..... We of course love coming to your restaurant but we now have promised our friends we will all come back together as we had such a delicious meal. You have the best Lebanese I have ever had. "I work around the corner so I hop in here at least once every week and a chikito from Zambrero is one of those meals which leaves me feeling really really good. Every single time.<br/ <br/ I'm surprised this branch has a bad rating... the food is always made with love, the ambience is pretty good amd the manager and the staff are really friendly and enjoy casual banter with you as they prepare your food.<br/ <br/ Overall the service is warm, the ambience is relaxed and chilled out, the music is upbeat and the food is simply delicious."

"The waitress that served us must of been new! She had NO idea about Vietnamese food. I said I am allergic to Chilli and if there is anything she can recommend that doesnt have Chilli in it because majority of the food on the menu is spicy and she was like, oh there's plenty! She grabbed the menu and scanned it for a while and then stammered, umm yeh most have Chilli unfortunately. But thats Vietnamese food for you, they like their spicy food! My friend and I just looked at her and both said " No thats not true!" Its not normal for Vietnamese food to have Chilli in all their food. The chilli is usually on the side as an accompaniment. I was not impressed at all.The Vietnamese food here is modern fusion, its very interesting and fun menu! The Crispy pig's ear Banh Mi is delicious, very tasty! However for $6.50 each I would have thought the portion would have been bigger, but its a very mini bite size banh mi.Chicken wings with maggi sauce - this was a very disappointing. Its basically fried chicken (on its own it was very tasteless, no flavour at all). Once you pour the Maggie sauce and the lime juice over it then there is some flavour....Ordered the grilled trout without chilli. It was nice but nothing to really shout about.Overall the food was not bad, I wouldnt say excellent but still enjoyable to some degree.What I loved is the outdoor covered area. Its so beautiful and confortable setting. Really nice! What a hidden gem, I would not have known from the shop front that there is an upstairs and back open area! I think the front shop is a bit of a wasted area, they should really do something with that space! I think this place is worth visiting just to try it for your self. If you love food with Chilli in it then this place is for you. The service and atmosphere is great."
