"Mixed views on Ponycat. We were interested in trying for the first time as we had received mixed comments from others who had gone there. Staff I am sure consider themselves very efficient rushing here and rushing there but they seem to forget that there are customers who would appreciate a smile and acknowledgement. Coffee OK food OK but neither to rave about."

"Fantastic food at the Comedy Club Albion, so if you're heading off for a fun night of Hypnotic entertainment be assured that your meal will be enjoyable. We've been twice recently and both times the meals were excellent."

"Delicious, inventive, fresh cuisine. Far more to sample here than your average suburban Japanese place. Highly recommended."

"This is a nice little restaurant on Brunswick Street only about a 5-10 minute drive from the CBD. Surrounding street parking. The service is very friendly and genuine. The food is really tastey and cooked well. I've been here a few times and I've never had to wait too long for my meals, even when it's been busy. They have beers, Asahi on tap. A range of dishes with rice and miso soup combos, sushi and other dishes I'm yet to try. It's a casual type dining restaurant in a prime location with a gelato shop a few doors up for dessert and New Farm Cinemas across the street. I'd recommend this restaurant. Enjoy!!"

"I haven’t been to Miss Jones before but have heard some negative review in the past. After hearing they have had a change of management I thought I’d come and give it a try. They do an all day breakfast menu with a variety of sweet, savoury, vegan and more substantial burger options. Seems like there is a little something for everyone which is nice. I decided on the chocolate hot cakes with coconut ice cream and it was divine. The serving size was plentiful and very well presented. Ideal for that insta worthy brunch. Staff were helpful and polite. Food and drinks were served in a timely manner. They apparently have a car park out back for customers which is helpful in the busy streets of Newfarm."

"No. Just no.

The decor is very cute... there's a lot to like here: nice atmosphere, quaint little decorations, authentic-looking sculptures...

The service is ok. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Spring Rolls - ok... I guess... because they were hot and sort of crunchy. My spring roll consisted mostly of cabbage and pastry. The sort of thing you get in a suburban (non Sunnybank) Chinese restaurant.
Chicken Satay - sad tired little things. They looked good but the satay sauce was overly sweet and a little watery. The sort of thing you get in a suburban (non Sunnybank) Chinese restaurant.
"Balinese chicken" was stir fried chicken and veg topped with packet sauce with some powdered lemongrass added to it.
Fried noodle(which I'm guessing is supposed to be mee goreng) - not even worth talking about.
Gado gado - steamed veg with the same watery sauce that came with the Chicken Satay. So disappointing. I only wish that I had eaten somewhere else. ANYWHERE else.

Brisbane people have much higher standards now than when you opened 22 years ago.

Verdict: just because it's been here for a long time doesn't mean it's worth your while."
