"Hangry and traffic everywhere, we decided to grab a quick bite at Ayala Malls the 30th. Although I'm not a fan of Halal Guys, I suggested it to hubby knowing that food would be served right away.<br>

I got the Sampler Platter with Gyro, Chicken and Falafel Over Rice. Just like my other trips to the Megamall branch, I was bitin on the ulam. I had to add sauce to enjoy my food more. I still like the White Sauce the best. The BBQ sauce was interesting and gave a different flavor profile. They warned us about their hot sauce. I tried that before and I carefully avoided it this time. You don't have to pay for extra sauce and you can ask for all when dining in and you can even go back for refills. I loved the warm pita bread and the first thing I wiped out. This Sampler comes with either a small soft drink or bottled water.<br>

Service was great. The place was clean but the airconditioning was really cold I was getting goosebumps.<br>

"Taco Bell is finally in Ortigas Center!<br>

One of my favorite fast food place when I was in the States, Taco Bell could only be found in Cubao and Trinoma until now. It's not as popular as the burger places but I get a mean taco, quesadilla and burrito everytime I go here.<br>

Get their combo meals. I usually get the Grilled Stuft Burrito with double meat, nachos and a drink for Php179. And the Crunchwrap supreme meal also for Php179.<br>

The flour tortilla is wonderful when it's grilled and toasty. The beef is a little salty but just lends itself well with the other components may it be rice, beans or lettuce. Their hot sauce isn't spicy enough though.<br>
What I like about this branch at the 30th Mall is that they have a lot of seats with electrical outlets. Perfect place to just hang out with friends or alone with your laptop.<br>

"Was excited to try the food here. As we enter we were seated right away. As it was my first time eating here a waiter gave us a quick tutorial on how to order using the iPad tablet on the table. I was a bit confused though as we were also given the usual table menu. They told us that there were some items that are in the paper menu but are not on the iPad menu. And only the items that are on the iPad that are available for ordering. That said, it still didn't explained why they gave us the paper menu. Anyway, so we ordered from the tablet, and it was so nifty and "hi tech" and the food was service was also quite fast since we were served maybe within 10 to 15 minutes. Also if you are not comfortable ordering via iPad, a waiter can explain everything to you. <br>

As for the food, most of their items are served "teishoku" style or "complete meal set" style. In other words, most of their entrees comes with a bowl of rice, miso soup, chawanmushi or japanese savory egg custard and japanese pickles. I had the Mix Toji Teishoku which is a mix of pork Katsu, shrimp katsu and sukiyaki style beef served on a hot stone dish and the rice was served separately. My brother had the sukiyaki teishoku which is a a big bowl of sukiyaki with both thin noodles and thick udon noodles. As for flavor, it was really good. I like that the sukiyaki beef was really tender and sweet. And the pork katsu was also tender and flavorful. I love that the food were served on hot stone dishes which kept the food warm all through out the entire meal. What I didn't like though, was that the rice and the miso soup were not refillable. But the rice was real Japanese rice so it was really good eventhugh it was "bitin". I ate everything on my set except for the chawanmushi which I never really developed a liking to. Drinks were not included with the set so we ordered lemon iced tea which was also not refillable.<br>

Once you are done, you can again click on the iPad to check your bill and to signal the waiter to get your payment. Prices were a bit expensive comparing it to other Japanese restaurants and considering they don't have free refills.<br>

This is not the first restaurant that I have eaten here in Manila that offers this unique experience of ordering from a tablet. And I think it is a more efficient way of servicing customers. I think children of all ages will like this new "hi-tech" way of service. I just wish this establishment will have more branches out soon!"

"Sorry, I forgot to take a photo, I was hungry. Anyway, I ordered their Beef Wanton Noodle Soup, It's served on a huge metallic bowl, a steal for a price of Php 150. The broth is flavorful, you can feel the authenticity of the chinese cuisine. A generous slice of beef brisket, soft and juicy, with the fat. A couple of big wanton, meaty and flavorful in every bite. The ambience of the store is great. The place is well lit. You can smell the dimsum as the steamers are lined up next to the cash register. You can also see how they cook the noodles; they have this technique in which they intermittently switch from hot to cold water bath and vice versa.
