"They have reopened after renovation. Overpriced, pretentious, and underwhelming. The menu descriptions don't add up. I think they need an identity, Southern cuisine with fox hunting wall size painting and an aquarium?? We started out with deviled eggs and cornbread, very good. What killed it for us was the 29.00 steak with cherry tomatoes, rolled zucchini stripes and a tasteless BBQ sauce. The food presented did not carry the description on the menu. For a 29.00 steak I will stick with Ray's. Almost 200 for 4 people, if they want repeat (weekly) visitors they need to do some work on the menu/ . Not sure if they want to be a neighborhood spot or a special event destination. The chef needs to work on getting meat temperatures correct. Plating was pretty but overpriced for the amount of food. Wait staff were pleasant and accommodating but seemed unsure of each other roles. Dessert options were chocolate chip cookies...that's it. We will not be back. Thought we could find a new neighborhood spot past the hot spots on Barracks Row. We will keep looking."

"We had the most delicious brunch here this morning. It was very quiet in the restaurant due to coronavirus so our server Josh was attentive and spent a lot of time answering our questions. We can’t remember the GM’s name but he was friendly and welcoming as well. I can’t say enough about the food. We ordered the mussels in the saffron cream sauce and I don’t have words to describe how good it was. Josh was amazing and kept bringing us more bread to soak up the remaining sauce. The pied du cochon Benedict was also delicious. We ate a lot of food but didn’t feel gross or bogged down afterwards like we usually do after brunch. We can’t wait to come back to have the mussels again and try more menu items, and to see Josh and the GM again."

"Everyone on the restaurant staff was great!! We had raw oysters as an appetizer for $3/oyster. They were very small not worth the money, however, the pear salad was very good and I had a veal porterhouse for an entree it was accompanied by what I think were scalloped potatoes which were excellent"

"Saw they were offering soft shell crabs as a special and went for them. They were large and delicious. Had a great special appetizer of a calamari salad and it, too, was great. With a nice bottle of Muscadet, had a wonderful meal."

"– moderate, 3.7 stars I was looking for a good paella place to take my mom and upon a recommendation from a Spanish doctor she works with, we decided to try it. The environment is lively with a great attitude, and the restaurant has always been full. There is a wide selection of cold, hot, and seasonal tapas and a couple of paellas to chose from. They are a little skimpy on seafoodfor the paella, but it is reasonably priced for the portion and quite tasty. Being salt-sensitive, the food was too salty, but I liked the dishes. After the first time, I knew I would be back…and I was right, making my rating jump from 3.5 to 3.7 stars. I’m trying Taberna del Alabardero on Friday, so this is open for change."
