"I always search for places that exist for a long time, this place has been there since 1940. I was looking for Canadian Cusine, it was the next one I could get with a meatloaf with a big engraving. And it was very nice, homemade flavor, Confort food.... The only reason I didn't give 5vstars was because my wife, who did not eat meat, asked for a vegetarian pack (very good, she said) with side salad and they sent it with BACON! Vegetarian food with salad and bacon? But. Okay, I took the bacon and we survived."

"Having out-of-town guests got us looking for a good breakfast spot, and we decided to try out Mars.Its not overly American (which I'm grateful for), having a very standard menu of breakfasts, omelettes, pancakes, sandwiches, burgers, as well as milkshakes.We all ordered the large breakfast platter (a take on an English breakfast). Wait was a little longer than I generally expect, but the plates came hot and perfectly cooked. Prices were a bit on the high side for what it was, but not outrageous.The atmosphere is fun and retro, and the staff are okay. Will likely return."

"We went to lunch on the advice of a close friend who suggested that the original restaurant was better than the franchise and young ones were right! the menu is easy 4-5 pages longer with much more choice options. service was fast and friendly and. eating was fantastic. the server was wonderful with my small child and ensured that she was happy, well fed (including several peanut butter packages and crayons and occupied. will return absolutely. definitiw a hidden gem!"

"We go here at least once a month and the cafe is now under new management. Although the food quality has stayed very good, the service is hit or miss. We often go for breakfast and the prices have gone up. Coffee is rarely refilled and you often have to ask. But the chef is consistently good and my daughter loves the eggs Norwegian the most here out of any she's tried in Toronto. Just don't order the lemon ginger tea which is just lemon water with a hunk of fresh ginger in it..."
