"We think this would be the right place if they had only one day to explore guangzhou. conveniently located in peking lu, a popular hiking street, dafo vegetarian offers great traditional Chinese staples such as mapo tofu, braided aubergines (our fave) and rice dishes. their portion sizes are huge, we couldn't finish everything (which was a first for us). insider tipp: dafo temple is particularly stunning when the wood carved facade is illuminated at night. updated by previous review on 2019-08-30"

"Small, modern café style vegan restaurant with a selection of vegan foods and health and beauty products as well. Varied menu with Chinese dishes as well as some really unusual treats like spaghetti and pizza, what I had. The spaghetti was a welcome comfort for a Western vegan. The pizza almost like a Focaccia bread with tomatoes, could not happen the mood of a New Yorker, but I loved it. Strong coffee, WiFi and a menu with pictures and some English. In my opinion, the journey is worth it. Note Google cards this address can be a block from where it is. Take the subway to Luoxi. Exit A. Go when you leave the station. Go to 2nd Riyu and turn right. The restaurant is a few blocks on the right side. I published an image with the map position and save sign clearly means vegan."

"It has many eastern dishes, but it also has a few western dishes as well. I found the portions to be a bit small, but they were tasty. I had the mushroom steak. It has been quite some time since I last had a pepper jack mushroom sauce, the mushroom was nice and tender. I also had a curry, it was good but a good curry isn't to hard. And I shared some tofu squares with a sauce I don't know the name of but it was good too. I did not know it was an upscale place when I arrived. I felt a bit out of place with the white tablecloths around. They have a little dessert display at the front but I'm sure none of them were gluten free vegan so I didn't go through the hassle of trying to ask. A nice experience, worth checking out but not worth adding to the regulars, unless of course you're dying for the western flavor. I think many westerners would feel a bit more at home here than most other restaurants."

"I tried this tonight with 4 non-vegetarians and we all really enjoyed the meal! Chinese dishes but more modern: less oil and more sweet! there were small pieces of fake meat in some of the dishes, but the dishes were mainly plant origins. the menu is only in Chinese, you can see photos of the dishes on wechat. the friendly owner spoke English and helped us to make a choice. we ordered about 10 dishes for 5 people and it came to 400 yuan. the restaurant was vegan, but we asked if a dish can contain yogurt."

"I came here specifically, and my experience was good. the restaurant is not very easy to find, but as soon as they find it, it is a very warm and welcoming little restaurant. the food tasted great and was very nicely served. the selection of dressing was quite limited and the prices were medium and not cheap, as described here. I have eaten alone and at the end 165 rmb with 2 main courses (1 was too small for me, so I ordered 2), 1 next-court and a small dessert. In summary, I would be happy to eat here a few times a week, if it was close to my office, but most likely my data would not take to dinner there."
