"This once hyped restaurant in PMQ has lost some of its lustre over the past couple of years, probably understandingly so because the food standard certainly has fallen somewhat. The lunch menu being especially disappointing with a limited selection of mediocre dishes. Dinner is just better but still not outstanding."

"Went there last Christmas with some friends and got the set menú. It was AMAZING. Our friend Kate recommended US and we are so grateful because every single dish was delicious and it was literally the best vegan Christmas dinner I ever had in a restaurant in 6 years."

"Right next to the mid levels, but a bit hidden is this beautiful restaurant. great atmosphere, some sitting places in the open and, more importantly, the beautiful eating! I had lunch with ramen. saw and rich with good quantity veg in a big part. yum! not so expensive for the amount of food and quality. made me so happy. the day of the week during lunch there was so space, but it looks as if it fills quickly. at the theke order and have to collect own tables."

"A gem, if an expensive one. my friend and i ordered soup and two rice dishes to share. we asked for non-spicy, vegan options and the wait staff was knowledgeable in recommending what to order. portions were hara hachi bu and would probably not satiate a bigger eater, but they were healthy and flavourful and enough for two females. they also have some vegan desserts, which we were too full to try. it's an omnivorous eatery but veg*n is understood."

"It was quite difficult to find this place as the restaurant is located on a floor in a large building. they have to take the up, once on the right, they immediately enter the restaurant. felt like back to the 20th century with the retro interior. you could see that they are oriented towards this place. many options. eating is okay, but it doesn't matter. we have a suppe of the house as an appetizer, we did not finish it because it was already cooled when we got it. the burger was tasty, but we expected more of the sweet potatoes. overall cool experience, but enough only for a time. too expensive for what they get, according to my opinion. Remember that they are in the middle of the day (15:00-17:30, so a late lunch is not quite possible. updated by previous review on 2023-01-02"

"Loved the offerings. Basic salad at $70 for salad leaves and choice of 3 side dishes. Limited seating. Circular stairways upstairs is challenging especially for bigger people or pregnant ladies. "This is another Chinese homestyle veg place that isn 't like those greasy, gluten y, mock meat y Buddhist places. Similar lunch format to Happy Veggies [hidden link] , where you choose your 3 dishes to go along with rice and soup. Differences: On Nov 2018, it was $60. Now Jul 2019 , it 's $65; you check out the board English/Chinese for the daily menu. The soup has more stuff in it The rice is all white instead of mixed grain Interior is more modern and nice Interior is also much more louder Not a social enterprise Definitely not vegan They 're both quite similar to me not to each other, but if you get tired of one, just head over to the other xD The dishes here seem a little less simple , but I prefer the other one because it 's just so calm and it 's nice to be support a non profit. I haven 't been here for dinner yet. You need to make a reservation and it costs more. Jul 2019: Their ingredients are not exactly luxurious, so the rising costs have difficulty competing with neighbours in Sheung Wan. After visiting again, this location is really too cramped and loud to enjoy with others; if dining solo, I would have my earbuds in, so no big deal there. Today, it 's just a hassle with people constantly rubbing their butts against me as they squeeze past. Yes, I know HK is small, but come on now... But basically, I could pay around $80 to eat at nearby places with better ambience and without hearing the full details of my neighbours ' conversations. The food remains, not bad. It 's quite clean. "Lovely service with an English menu if required. Food was so delicious I forgot to take a photo. We had the potato skins, buffalo chicken wrap as well as the pasta which was very tasty. Highly recommended if you are in the Fortress Hill area just across the road from the train station in Boat Street."
