"I walked in on December 16, 2021, and asked the guy behind the counter what was good? He replied, Everything 's good. I asked the next guy working behind the counter the same question, and he replied in kind. I ordered an ox tail dinner with all the sides. Without a doubt, the food served here is as authentic you can without taking a trip to the Caribbean. The food served here will appeal to all of your culinary senses. This is not one of those fancy Michelin five-starrestaurants on your bucket list you dream about being able to visit. However, at the Jamaican African Cuisine restaurant, you will receive the best plate of homecooked food between the Mississippi River and New York City. If you live inJackson, TN, or on the road traveling and looking for something different to break the monotony of the boring national chain restaurants, this is the place. The food is served like when eating at Grandma 's house. The food here is the bestJamaican cooking has to offer. The single serving portions are large enough for 2 dinners to share. The flavor is off the Richter scale, and if you are weight conscience, make a visit here your cheat day. Mr. Jospeh is the chef/owner ofJamaican African Cuisine with his two sons. He was a pleasure to meet and talk with every dish he prepares; his first ingredient is a double dose of L O V E. I enjoyed eating here so much. I dined twice in one day and also got plates togo for dinner the next day. The quality and value of the food make this a place I am anticipating visiting again soon very soon. "Before I bought at patel brothers for South Asian food in my neighborship in brooklyn, I stopped in maharaja sweets for a good lunch with 7.99 for 4 veg plus rice and roti on a small table on the way. the thali met this warm day in the mai, especially the masala gobi. but no time for Indian sweets."

"I used to go here years ago, when the food was actually good. But I went twice recently. A few months ago, they served old goat curry and old butter chicken. I went again a few days ago and was served raw chicken kebabs. We ordered some chicken biriyani and lamb chops too, but nothing had flavor. We couldn’t even taste salt.As for service, no one came to check on us. We had to keep calling them to ask for water and stuff. And the designs are very tacky. The colors don’t match, missing tiles everywhere, etc. Restaurants in Bangladesh nowadays even look better than this."

"Enjoyed a great mocha! Great atmosphere for a business meeting with a client. Liked all of the natural lighting that flowed in. It appeared as if most people who were there were doing business related activities. Their food looked good too, I just didn't get to try it this time. But, hopefully next time I'm in Jackson I can stop in and eat from their nutritious menu."
