"We have stayed at the hotel Chapeu Roge and dined at Restaurant William Frachot on various occasions, often to mark the final day of our vacations and to take the opportunity to stock up on the excellent covered market in Dijon. So far, we have always been pleased, especially by the truly excellent sommelier who did, again, do a great job. It is such a pity that the maître d ' managed to spoil our evening pretty thoroughly. We had booked the restaurant almost 7 weeks in advance and were very nearly the first customers to arrive but nevertheless were placed at what was by far the worst table in the entire restaurant and that in a restaurant that turned out to be not fully booked. Placed near the entrance which led to lots of traffic by customers and waiters. The support for the bread selection was stored directly behind my seat in full view of my wife and moved back and forth to be used in the restaurant many times by staff. Apart from that my wife had an excellent view of the entrance to the kitchen and the entrance. To top that there was a cold draft from the climatisation. When we pointed this out the waitress pointed to the top simply saying It 's coming from the top . After a while we had enough and my wife made it known in no uncertain terms that she is very uncomfortable and that this is by far the worst available table to which the maître d ' responded loudly with No . In the end, however, quite miraculously we were moved to a table at the other end of the restaurant, very good overlooking the restaurant, no traffic. Why were we initially given such a crap table? No idea, but the next morning upon check out it became clear that the hotel did not have a record of our previous visits as we were asked whether that was our first visit. As by our rough assessment all the other customers, with the exception of a single couple, were French and probably from the region we are led to the conclusion that the maître d ' chose this table for us as we were not worth an effort given that this was in his mind our first probably not to be repeated anyhow. Well, damn right he is. At no point were there any apologies and to top it all, when the maître d ' brought our bill he asked with a smirk Who is in charge? probably because it was my wife who complained rather than me. We are often going to top class restaurants and I cannot recall that we have been made as uncomfortable as on this occasion. The food? Well, given the unpleasant events we did not concentrate too well on this aspect but overall it was good though more at the 1 star level. But maybe we were biased because in the days before we have had an excellent dinner in the Mirazur and a truly outstanding meal in Maison Aribert . Unfortunately, on this evening William Frachot was very far from those levels. Only the sommelier was excellent. After the dinner I have made my views known to the maître d ' again, but he was defensive and roundly rejecting our concerns, even claiming that nobody ever complained about the table. While I find this hard to believe it may also be because people tend to hesitate to make a scence. In any case, if the table was so good one wonders why it cannot be found on ANY promotional photos of the restaurant. In any case, there are many great restaurants in the region (we have eaten at many) and I see little reason to return to a restaurant that showed us so little respect."

"Berbisey Street in Dijon in the city center, there is a comfortable restaurant where you can rest and order hot and delicious sandwiches, while listening to music or watching a game. The boss is nice and smiling....rare. A break is needed when we just walked the streets of Dijon, the best place is the cool plus, in the family it is the ideal, all students and athletes get to meet at 72 rue Berbisey, it is the same for all the servers of all kinds of restaurant of the city, after the service they get to you at Cool, because at the end of the service there is only the cool By the way, you can't miss it on the street, it's the only one who put his portrait on the window, an admirer adds the famous little moustache that strips all the stars of the showbiz on the fashionable t-shirts."

"The snails here were some of the best I have eaten and they save the place from a poor review. Everything else was at best mediocre, and the service was a shambles, with half our order forgotten. For dessert we had a concoction of...ice cream and macaroons. I like both, but the message for Brochettes et Cie is that they do not go together."

"Good ingredients, well cooked, nice pastas and excellent wine selection by the boss. We enjoyed a short dinner but memorable because of the warm and dedicated service. Maybe slightly more sauce in the pastas as a suggestion, but tasted good anyway ! Try the cinque terre white wine, and the cantucci. It rocks !"

"Eat here offers three options: 1. place the content of their tablet in the container before they eat it. 2. partially suffered by eating 3. at the end by eating it has trains and railway stations the world over are known for bad eating, but seriously this place frightens new deep. a coffee plus milk, an abi. and two croque monsieur. I had a few croque mersieurs in my time, and more often than not they can be quite delicious. not so here. asked if I wanted it to be the pre-melted cheese and congealed bechamel so attractive? I answered, what came was dried until the toast, cold ham and congealed bechamel. Coffee average best with uht durable milk? what? and it even came out of the refrigerator. What is the matter with fresh milk? the abl was ok, if rather sour, but these are the oranges at this time of the year so hard to rub up much more. Sure, it is not too much to expect that the most basic snacks freshly prepared, cooked or at least heated, although right and taste like something they actually want to eat, but it is clear that this is asking a lot of those who get the franchise at the dijon station. my best advice is gone, go somewhere else or starve, they will be glad that they made one of the above mentioned decisions."
