"My sister and I came in here one week ago on Thursday for lunch! I m aware about the pressure and the difficult that waiters and chefs and all the kitchen staff live during the shift. There are times, expectations and different requests and standards to satisfy. That's why I m always nice and polite with who is going to serve my meal. Is a plus that my sister is a chef too, working in Germany since 7 years now.We politely ordered a typical German sausage/wurst.. asking if was possible to swap the potatoes with some fries. Thanks to my sister and her fluent German we've been able to "deal" with our waiter Mr. Mrkaic who shout in our face and capturing the attention of all the people around, saying that he couldn't be bothered with this. This was the menù Apparently The kitchen was on the floor 254738.. he couldn't be able to get in there, do the stairs and ask for it. If we don't want something we leave it and we order something else separately. He had no time to waste. Now.. We ve just made a question. No mentioning how blessed we are in 2017 with all this technology.. we both agree that "No, sorry" was enough.The fact that Mrkaic could be my father , doesn't allow him to shout in my face being totally unrespectful in front of so many people.The fact that there wasn't any manager around caring about the situation, and that this restaurant has a really good position, really close to the Cologne Cathedral and for sure has no prob to be reached by a lot of tourist.. neither! We were about to leave suddenly. Not even waiting for the food. Time that I ve tried to catch someone and ask the bills, one of our plates came out. We're really different from Mr. Mrkaic. So because the food was already out the kitchen and we respect the work of other people, we had our lunch. Feeling uncomfortable and leaving the place as soon as possible. NEVER AGAIN ."

"To meet an old mate again, the road led me to Cologne Ehrenfeld: The district is located in the west of Cologne and has been part of the city since 1888. A real veedel. In Ehrenfeld, the houses of the citizens from the founding period, the monuments and the war building gaps from the 1950s and 1960s are filled. A view is the residential tower of Herkules Hochhaus from the 1970s. The former part of the labour and industrial city has today a high proportion of people from all over the world. The business image with Turkish and Italian shops and shops is correspondingly diverse. But also companies of owners from the Middle and Far East as well as from Africa are not rare. Ehrenfeld has a very lively cultural scene with theatres, restaurants and pubs. Therefore we stayed near the rental apartment and visited the restaurant “See”. It is located near the main road through the district (Venloer Strasse in a side road (Philippstraße). So in a residential area. The restaurant used to be the pub on site – white tiled outer surface, lumens, beer coats (Gaffel testify). They noticed us as very friendly, funny and humorous. They could not comment – they were always attentive and asked for their wishes. But there's only cash. Unfortunately, my wallet was not particularly filled (for tips and other cards.) We did not have to leave a deposit, but were pointed out to the sales machine nearby and should settle. Whether the standard is, I don't know – but it was sympathetic (or we look so serious? But we didn't get an invoice, but we paid what was noticed on a note at the table (we also didn't request a document). "This is the hotel restaurant for the Savoy. We were at the hotel, which is excellent, and we had lunch and drinks here after our arrival. The food was good, the drinks were great. We saw the bartender doing several things that looked very... fantasy. Service was ok, we ordered shots at one point and never got them, but it could have been a language barrier thing. It really wasn't a big deal since we were just sitting in the bar after we had eaten anyway. The atmosphere of the whole hotel is really cool, so it is a great place to hang out."
