"There are lots of restaurants in Reno. Pearl Oyster Bar used to be my wife and my favorite. Over the last year, the service, quality of food and value has decreased to a point where we probably will not be going back. Our favorite has always been the Combination Louie, which always had different lettuce varieties (romaine, etc), lots of eggs, a crab claw, a couple of giant shrimp among other things. This last time, it was bay shrimp only, no claws, a small portion of crab, half an egg, and salad mix from a bag. Price went up for far less. Service was poor, with the server not understanding a couple of things that were ordered and he literally faked writing something (I could see his pad). Of course, the item never showed up."

"The bartender, victoria or vivian was her name (I heard someone called her at a point vague) was the sweetest, friendly woman I ever met in a bar. I love her and I would go back to say hello again! I drank vodka-cranberrys and it was so mixed that I inhaled 4 of them in half an hour? I was just there to give time until my appointment at the nagelsalon next door, but I tell them I want to go back there and they'll get back when they go in."

"Look, I've been eating Thai since the 80s, back when it was only Thai chefs doing the cooking. This place brings me back to that same level of fresh deliciousness. The flavors are authentic, the vibe is peaceful, and the people are super nice. I was here a month ago, and I'm still dreaming about their Panang curry. This should be your number 1 stop in Reno."
