"I love this restaurant. The tofu curry is fabulous as is the wonton soup. I’ve also had the tofu lemongrass vermicelli bowl (yum! and had bites of my friend’s spicy beef. (Even though I don’t usually eat beef in my regular diet, I thought that was excellent too . Those are the only dishes I have tried— they are so good, I sometimes crave them.Vegetarian options: Tofu dishes, vegetarian pho."

"Happily Satisfied. I have eaten lunch at Beijing Tokyo a handful of times since they first opened. My recent lunch reminded me why I like it enough to venture miles out of my way to dine here, if only on occasion. My most recent visit found only a handful of other customers. My server was friendly, helpful and very, very prompt, which is a big plus when you are on your lunch hour. The sushi bar is tucked into the rear of the restaurant, and when the host seated me he neglected to inquire if I wanted to sit there, instead showing me to a booth. While comfortable, it would have been more fun to dine up at the bar. I started with an order of the shumai, which was delicious, although the individual pieces were smaller than those I have sampled at other restaurants around town. The accompanying sauce had a slightly sweet and spicy flavoring. I liked it a lot. I also ordered the teriyaki salmon bento box, which came with miso soup. The soup was a very good version, not too salty. The bento box was tasty, if rather typical of what other Japanese restaurants put out. My last item was a spicy yellowtail sushi roll. It was good, if unremarkable. Besides sushi, the menu also features a selection of Chinese and other Japanese favorites. The restaurant atmosphere is fairly relaxing, with pleasant, subdued decor. A small TV up on the dining room wall was mercifully muted, and easy to ignore. Why restaurants insist on placing the Boob Tube in dining rooms continues to baffle me. I also noted that the background music selections ranged from soft jazz to annoying pop to weird Muzak type covers of old 60's classics. Someone needs to fix the mix, please. Beijing Tokyo remains the only true sushi/ Japanese restaurant in eastern Sarpy County. If you are in the area it is well worth sampling, but it pales in comparison to the Big Sushi Boys up in Omaha, or even in Papillion. Food: B+ Atmosphere: B Service: A Menu Selection: B+ Value: B"
