"A hidden jewel in Burnaby. The Pho is not great. Other pho places are better, but a good place to grab a pho when you are hungry. The grilled chicken with spring roll and Vermicelli was delicious and filled. The pork chop was dry with grilled chicken and rice. So other restaurants are better. However, the service was somewhat slow and invisible. We had to wait a while for tea and our reception. That's how it was above average."

"Always on the look out for a great bowl of pho and Ha Cafe delivered. I had the rare beef pho and a chicken banh mi. Pho had perfectly balanced flavour, not too much anise. Beautiful cloudy broth and it is served with the sprouts already in the broth if you like steamed beansprouts like I do this is perfect. Lemongrass chicken banh mi was full of flavour and balanced with the warm chicken and cool veggies fresh and delicious. No garlic mayo on the sandwich which I enjoy as I often find it over powers the delicate flavour of the day pickle veggies and cilantro so this one was a nice balance, Simple and not so fussy decor, cozy place and service was fine. Not off the chart but fine for an afternoon bowl of soup."

"Since the original brother and sister mr ho owners sold the restaurant, quality and service are on the hill. the first time we had a reservation, but we had to wait 45 minutes. that never happened to the old crew that runs this business. they have also cut corners in the food they buy to cook. definitiw not as it used to be it, the familiar family friendly setting is gone, and now it is cut neck"

"We arrived at 3 thinking it would be quiet but we were wrong, it was packed! Regardless, we were seated within 15 minutes.<br/ <br/ The menu is huge and quite overwhelming, and can be confusing but was narrowed down quickly when we were informed that the soups have pork in the broth (I don’t eat pork). So we settled on the popcorn chicken, fried tentacles and red curry popcorn chicken combo that came with rice, seaweed and choy. It was delicious! The bubble tea and desserts were super tempting too so I’ll be back to try that out next time!"

"Disclaimer: *This was a complimentary meal. This post was not edited or written for monetary compensation, and are solely my opinions and observations. The owner did know that I was there to dine as a blogger. The restaurant and Zomato had generously offered a free entree, so I decided to check out the place. We went around 4:30pm on a Saturday, and there were 2 single men eating away. We sat in a booth that had torn areas, but for the most part, I thought the place was cleaner than I expected."

"I 'm just come to the realization that winter break is coming to an end *groans* School starts up on Tuesday and my first class is at 9:30 am... why do I do this to myself?. Oh, and I almost forgot: HAPPY (Belated NEW YEARS EVERYBODY!! Hope you didn 't have too much fun ; . I didn 't do much for New Years this year. My dad and I spent the entire evening watching 'The Imitation Game ' on Netflix. My most eventful New Years was in Vegas I fainted 2 minutes before midnight from all the smoke in the casino and people had to carry me back to my hotel room...<br/ <br/ On New Years Day we went to New Lakeview to celebrate because we didn 't want to wander too far from home! Mann, going back to New Lakeview was a trip down memory lane!!! I use to go here all the time with my grandparents a few years back. Their sweet and sour pork was my go to, I would order it every time. Yes, I was a diehard S&S Pork fan (still am and I 'm not ashamed to admit it ; <br/ <br/ The place was packed when we arrived, we actually had to wait for a seat! The interior hasn 't changed one bit the furniture, the decor, everything 's stayed the same! We were seated at a really cramped table but the waitresses were nice enough to offer us a new table when a spot cleared up."

"The friendly staff smiled when I entered the restaurant and seated my family very fast and away from the front door. The temperature of the restaurant was perfect. The servers, Jennifer and Rita were very kind and a joy to talk to. They both understood that we were a family of vegetarians and went above and beyond to ask the chef if the vegetarian dishes are cooked separately from meat and seafood dishes. Order came very fast. Food was hot and tasted fresh from the kitchen. Highly recommended restaurant, a favourite and I am sure my family and I will come again soon."
