"The restaurant is located in Amnor Center off of Parsons Road (99 Strret) - South of the Anthony Henday . Take entrance on the North Side to get there quickly (East side of Parsons).Our group comprised of our son and his work colleague, my wife, and me. We were hungry and ordered the deluxe dinner for four ($63). The food came quickly.We chose War Wonton Soup over the Hot & Sour as the is our granddaughters favorite. I had hoped we would have leftovers as my granddaughter was coming over the next day but the boys were hungry. The first bowl was spooned by our server.We had each just finished our second bowl of soup when our four spring rolls (the vegetables were fresh), the fried rice and our 4 entrees arrived. The hungry boys wanted to finish the soup before doing our main courses (19 to choose from). We chose beef with broccoli E7, shrimp-cashew nuts-vegetables E15, sweet & sour pork E8, and special garlic ribs E19 as our entrees. We rated the shrimp & cashew nuts as our favorite dish. We even managed to have a small doggy bag of leftovers.The ambience of high ceilings, Chinese TV, tea, and the ability to have a conversation made the restaurant appealing. "Used to eat here often when living in Edmonton about 5 years ago. Waitress remembered us, and the service was friendly with lots of thank you 's. They may have gotten a new cook though, because the food wasn 't as good as in the past, and there was less meat than in the former days. We were pleasantly surprised, however, with the streamed fish one taken from one of their aquariums. Very tasty, tho kind of pricey at $15 per pound. This one weighed at most 1 pound cooked, but they charged $30, maybe because she had estimated that the small fish in the tanks weigh about 2 pounds. Oh well we pay for our experiences. But on the positive side, their hot sour soup remains one of the best in Edmonton. And the sizzling pan of eggplant was quite memorable. Huge container of streamed rice was a bonus, enough for 7 of us eating. Cost was $130 before the tip, which was okay. They offered a Dinner for 4 or was it 5? But for the same price, we got to choose our favorite dishes. Will go back especially for the soup."

"Good taste and selection ,the price is kind of high though.If something is wrong they will endeavor to make it right .Will keep going back with the grand kids .My wife is in a big mobility scooter and has no problem getting around and in and out of this place.Also allergys are catered to."

"For the first time from this restaurant. The food was very fresh and delicious. General portions and the most expensive Chinese food I had for a long time. Each meat used was tender and not fat. Lemon chicken was easily scattered with lots of chicken inside. I'm definitely back."

"This is in a strip mall and is unassuming. The restaurant is quite small and there seemed to be lots of people working there. This restaurant has a fair practice policy and so tipping is not allowed. The staff were friendly and we're trying very hard, unseasoned in providing service, but with all the effort that will improve quickly. There is an open concept in this restaurant where you can see the food being prepared but because of this makes it loud and it is hard to hear the conversation at the table. The open ceiling makes the noise seem like it is droning. The food was very tasty and we are very glad we went. The waiter brought flavour infused water which was very refreshing. The food was fresh and visually appealing. Foods are locally sourced which is an appealing approach. The taste was pretty good and with a few alterations could be even more tasty. There was more pick up orders than there were in house customers but that might be the time we were there."

"I specifically wanted to go here after having looked for Vietnamese places on TripAdvisor., as I love that cuisine and we unfortunately don't have a lot of Vietnamese restaurants in Cape Town. First little disappointment was that we were looking for a relaxed sit-down lunch, with some wine ideally, and at Hoang Long it's more a fast food style place you have to stand in a line then order yourself and you get buzzed when it's ready, grab a drink from the fridge and of you go. Obviously not their fault, just our misunderstanding. It was just after the main Canadian lunch time (we tend to go a bit later for lunch than the locals, not before 1pm so the place looked like a bomb had just exploded and we struggled a bit to find a clear table. I eventually found one that I cleared myself, but the table was covered in sticky soy or fish sauce or whatever and it wasn't too easy to attract the not overly friendly waitress if she could please give me a cloth to clean the table (at no point did she consider this should maybe be her job, not mine, but never mind, I just wanted to sit down The nearby washroom provided me with paper towels and water in the end (if I would have waited for the waitress to come to our help I would probably still have been sitting there waiting... , so table cleared and cleaned....eventually our food was ready, but unfortunately, that of my husband's (who was already not too impressed with the place so far , spicy beef on jasmine rice, was cold. He couldn't be bothered to bring it back so just had two bites. My seafood soup was nice be it a bit bland so I had to add a lot of soy sauce to give it some taste, but that can obviously just be a personal thing. I was planning to come back for the Vietnamese spring rolls, but unfortunately didn't make it any more before my departure so that will have to wait til next time."

"We came across this tiny hole-in-the-wall place by accident on a recent trip to Edmonton. It's on a service road parallel to Stoney Plain Road. We decided to stop in for lunch just on spec. So very glad we did. The place is spotlessly clean, the staff are very friendly and laid back, and it is the best Chinese food I have ever had. Seriously. Can't wait to go back."

"Our family has been regulars at the wonton restaurant for years. In the beginning the food was good and price is reasonable. Recently, the quality and taste of food not so great, stir fry beef ho-fun noodle was not presentable, noodles are lumpy and small tiny pieces of beef are broken in pieces with lots of oil. Their price also gone up at least twice since end of last year, however; the food quality went down in same speed.We used to see other people ordered set meal before due to its value. We were surprised to see that there were hardly anybody ordered set meals with rice, soup and dessert anymore. Almost all people ordered single plate with rice on side or fry mien noodles. We believe it is related to their unrealistic price mark-up. Meal for two plus tax plus tips, easily over $45. Average a la carte plate or noodle at $16 to $18 range. It is understandable if the quality is there and not so in this case."

"I've been here many times and have NEVER been dissatisfied. Coco the lead reception/ Server is absolutely the best and knows the menu inside out. I have to say your pallet will sizzle with delight on any item you would try. This is the best place for Asian food. The blended fusion and spices are delicately fused to make you want to come here again. I can't say enough about this awesome place."
