"I think it's alright for westernized Chinese food, I'm personally not used to the amount of oil used for their dishes though. I would try them again before I could determine if this was a one time event"

"3 stars for dinner, 5 stars for dim sum. Average 4 stars.Dinner service was very short staffed with the waiters yelling to be heard.Asked for red vinegar 5 times and guess what? It never came. I can't eat Chinese food without it, soooo....yeah. Sad dinner. Also slow service at dinner meant we were there for 4 hours. O.m.g.And the 2nd course of the Peking duck was forgotten until we reminded them an hour later.But seafood was fresh,Peking duck crispy and light, veggies crisp, and sauces on point.Garlic wings and roasted green peppers were a favorite."

"I grew up in Dunbar and Simon's Kitchen was always the place to go for Chinese Food. I live in Singapore now where you can find some of the best Chinese food in the world. Despite this, I still love ordering from Simon's Kitchen whenever I'm back in Vancouver."

"The restaurant is not huge but it has personality! This incredible mural is painted along the back wall separating the diners from the kitchen. The decor is simple but classy with a touch of foodie fun. Their Happy Hour deal is quite incredible. You get three items off their eight-item menu for just $12. What a fantastic deal.I got their Prawn & Pork Salad Roll with their peanut sauce. I LOVE that peanut sauce. OMG, delicious!!! Everything was so fresh and clean, no MSG…If this is the mini Pho, I can not imagine how big the regular Pho must be! I added the garnishes, lime juice and then tasted a spoonful and knew there was something missing. Usually when I order Pho, it is take out and there are all these little sauces you add. I asked my server what I was missing. A NEW sauce! They have a SPICY hoisin for the Pho. Oh yeah… Much better! I did not find it super spicy, just incredibly flavourful and exactly what the Pho needed.I ordered the pork spring rolls but many of these appetizers had vegetarian options. These are available in veggie and tofu. Dipped in their dip-able fish sauce (which still blows my mind that they created such a genius foodie product) it made these crunchy treats a little funky in the best of ways. "I dined in this restaurant for morning tea, their dim sum is good, have a lot of choices, for me the most important part is hot and fresh which they did it.Their staff are nice and friendly, they will give recommendations when being asked.For me, the only negative comment is, they do not accept credit cards, they only accept cash and debit cards."
