"After a long day of walking, we discovered that most restaurants had closed for lunch. I suspect Simple Simon was also scheduled to be closed. But that didn’t prevent the manager/owner from being welcoming and hospitable. We weren’t prepared for the cool weather so, in addition to being tired and hungry, we were chilled to the bone. The warm hospitality at Simple Simon was just what we needed. The food was delicious and the service was friendly and attentive. Save room for dessert the ones that we had were divine! We highly recommend Simple Simon."

"We arrived in Avignon at lunchtime and looked to see what restaurants were recommended on tripadvisor. This one was rated highly, so we decided to try it out. We were welcomed by the owner, who thankfully, speaks English and made us feel right at home. We both opted for the salad with a warm goats cheese flan, bacon and balsamic dressing. It was simply outstanding. Everything in this restaurant is cooked fresh, hence the small menu. We cannot recommend it highly enough."

"I don't advise this establishment at all! We were very disappointed when we went there!First of all: there was no beef!! so not possible to take all part of the burgers offered on the map..Then when we had our burgers; the first was cold the meat had to be prepared in advance and put in a corner, the bacon was not even cooked! and the second was equivalent to the first, the difference was that it had a taste depressed, as if the sauce was perished!!! and to finish: we had to eat in the cold because there was not even the heating in the room! so no take no risk and go to their American neighbors!"
