"I am summarizing 4 visits through Sept 2019. We went for wing night and the variety of flavors were really good. Service was excellent and the place was never over-crowded for some reason. The management does need to remember to stock some of the regular's...beverages but overall it was quite good."

"Kathleen’s Grill was a pleasant surprise. If you know anything about me then you’ll know I love me some retro diners. Places that are reflective of the 1950s and 1960s are personal favourites because not only do they harken back to the days of personalized service and homemade food, but they tend to embody the carefree spirit of the age. There’s just something about entering a place like Kathleen’s Grill – with its various posters and signs of Coca-Cola, the Beatles, James Dean (amongst others) – that makes for a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere unmatched by modern eateries of any stripe. The food served here is “vintage” AKA homemade, which is exactly what I’d expect of a retro-style diner. When we visited, we ordered chicken wings, smokie, wheelie burger and a classic milkshake. The wings were good, but weren’t much different from anything that I’ve had elsewhere; the smokie (with CURLY FRIES) was substantial – very good; the “wheelie burger,” which contains 2 handmade patties, fried onions and gravy was, like the smokie, very substantive and – it has to be said – wheelie good! As for the milkshake, I think it’s fair to say that the old-style milkshakes are the major draw here. In the short time that we were seated and eating, a significant number of people came in and ordered milkshakes – and it’s easy to see why. Simply put, they’re awesome! Rich, creamy, but not too thick. Kathleen’s Grill is worth the visit for these alone. One potential negative: Kathleen’s Grill is kind of hidden away beside All-West Glass. If you don’t notice the “Kathleen’s Grill” sign on the unassuming strip mall, then this place is very easy to miss. Besides that, though, I have nothing negative to say about this place. It’s clean; the staff are friendly and the food fits the period captured in the diner and is available at a fair price. If nothing else, come here and try one of their signature old-fashioned shakes!FOOD: 4/5SERVICE: 4/5VALUE: 4/5RECOMMENDATION: This one is an easy thumbs up!"

"We had to try the poutine butter chicken and weren't disappointed. What a unique delicious dish.We also spinach paneer, garlic naan and onion bhaji.Way too much for two people but we did our best, and not a scrap of the magical poutine dish was left behind."
