"The main problem with the Thai Elephant was the lack of running water in both customer bathrooms. Yes, both taps were busted. When we reported this to staff, someone reluctantly went down and reported he had managed to get them running again, but it won't...be too long until they bust again the handles on the faucets are held on by a wing and a prayer. This experience took place after we were served a nice bowl of green curry and no utensils to get it out of the bowl and onto our side order of noodles. It took quite some time to get someone to bring us spoons. This detracted from what was otherwise a fine meal a substantial green curry and a chicken satay with a thick and tasty peanut sauce. No televisions, which was also good. So they know their food but they are serving it in an environment that is less than friendly. Hence the three star review."

"I have tried this place 3 - 4 times, the ingredients are fresh, the concept is great and the staff are lovely but the food is barely luke warm. This isn't just unpleasant to eat, its also slightly worrying due to the fact that there is no way it could be at the safe to eat temperature which can make people very sick. I would love to love Curry Love but not right now."

"This is a very busy place. Fortunately there was a spot at the "bar" for one, so I didn't have to wait but the seating was tight. I had the Red Curry with chicken, basil, potato and red bell pepper, spicy level. It came with rice on the side, and was delicious. All the ingredients were super fresh. I thought potato with rice was a bit of a carb overkill but the way they were cooked was excellent. I love hot food, but the server suggested I not go Thai Spicy and she would bring me a side of the Thai Spicy. This was a great move, and I was able to kick it up a notch without going overboard. Restaurant doesn't serve cocktails but they do have beer & wine, and they are very proficient at keeping your water glass filled."

"Our family has been eating at Real Thailand for years and have always found the food and service superb! Their Thai cold rolls are the best we have had in Toronto, and closest to authentic Thai or Vietnamese cold rolls (even better than some we had in Thailand!). "Street Pad Thai" is exactly like what we had in Thailand, not the ketchup-style more North American version (although that is really good too!). There are spicy dishes on the menu and staff are very open to adjusting the level of spice to cater to your palate! This restaurant used to be a little further east in an area of Bloor that was busier, and near a few concert halls. Many people would have dinner before a performance and the restaurant was always busy. Because of changes in the building they have relocated to a slightly less busy area so you may not just "come across" this gem as easily as we did many years ago. Check it out - start with the vegetarian cold Thai rolls.......maybe work it into a visit to a film at the Hot Docs theatre nearby. You won't be disappointed!"

"I’m not sure how anyone can give this place a bad review, we have been customers of theirs for at least 15 years. We order Chinese food for special occasions. We have never been disappointed once. The food is always delicious, it’s always hot, always fresh and delivery is always quick. We particularly love the lemon chicken. The lady who delivers the food is my favourite, she’s always so friendly and nice!!! If you want good old fashioned Chinese this is the place for you."
