"We had a fantastic meal before a show at the Blue Note. The staff are incredibly outgoing and very helpful. And the wine staff really know their products. We shared a nightly special (as an appetizer) raviolo as with shaved white truffles and it was as good a dish as I’ve had in an Italian restaurant. My pappardelle bolognese was decent but the other dishes were much better, like the lamb chops and lobster with pasta. We truly enjoyed our experience at Maialino."

"We went with high expectations hoping to find a place as good as Brooklyn’s Llama Inn in Manhattan but came out very disappointed. Maybe they were overwhelmed because of Restaurant Week. We had booked a standard dining table for 8:15 pm which was not available when we got there. At 8:30 pm they offered us seats at the high tables. When we pointed out that OpenTable lets you select which type of seating you prefer, first they tried to argue that that was not true and then finally moved us to the dining room. Service in the dining room was mediocre. Our water glasses were not refilled, I finished a cocktail with the appetizer and asked to see the wine list to order wine for the rest of the meal, somebody brought the list and the waiter never came to take the wine order. They never took the list or the empty cocktail glass off the table. The dining room was very full and it looked like there was only one waiter available so he clearly could not keep up. The food was OK not great. We ordered ceviche which was bland and crispy dumplings which were good except that the sauce was salty to the point of being inedible. For entrees we ordered the seafood risotto, which was the best dish of the evening, and the arroz con pato, recommended by the waiter and also quite bland and flavorless. The quinoa brownie desserts were entirely forgettable. So we are back to trekking to Brooklyn for great Peruvian food."

"Open Table got me my 5:00 p m reservation for two, after my 2:30 p m request. The restaurant is not large, but has a crowded bar and tables under a cover in front. They serve wine beer but no mixed drinks. The menu had a nice selection of Italian dishes, and everything we had was good. This was definitely a good experience, and I will go back to Tarallucci e Vino."

"A group of us went here for one of my friend’s birthdays and had such a blast! The back room is a really nice vibe and the food was so delicious. We were never waiting too long for food or drinks. Highly recommend for a special event!"
