"The young clerk who waited on was beyond exceptional! She was very professional, knowledgeable and very friendly.I noticed an older guy and I asked if he was the manager, he nodded and said yes. He had the personality of a WALL and that's the nice way to put it. I conveyed my appreciation for the customer service that we received from Evelyn, he didn't even take a second to listen to what I had to say.I would say that we'd be back but after the encounter with the manager, I don't think we will.The food was hot and tasted delicious. The dining room was fairly clean and orderly. The restroom (Mens) was clean and the tissue was plentiful. The parking lot was also very clean."

"I 'm an outlier. Loved the interior of the restaurant (and even the hotel lobby); hated the food. My pork chop came overcooked (i.e., bone dry) and the follow-up one was undercooked. The potatoes were tasteless (if a potato can be tasteless), the side of mushrooms were overcooked, and their signature Kennebec fries were soft, cold, and tasteless. My companion had the ribeye and judged it as edible, but lacking a discernable beef flavor. We both had the cheesecake for dessert, but we didn 't finish them. Service started off fine, but when I mentioned the second pork chop didn 't work, either, it went downhill from there. Loved the interiors and I like old hotels. Classic example of a hotel restaurant touted as being great when, in fact, it is not. Like other reviewers, I love the interiors, but the food is pretty bad. It 's a tourist hotel on Hollywood Blvd. That should have been a clue. Duh."

"Ambient is beautiful, service is great, drinks were delicious for a hot spring day in Los Angeles. Eat... not so great. My tagliatelle tasted like something from a Hamburger helper, my friends gnocchi was ok if you don't look forward to dinner. Not pictured, fresh baked bread, that was delicious."

"I had some friends here for birthday dinner and Belle Vie was the perfect place for it. Intimate, delicious and full of wine. It was a Saturday night, so it was extremely busy and the staff was nice, but a little fast. I had a girl's night and I felt as if I had annoyed our server because we were a little slow and indecision. Anyway, it was a nice night and I couldn't have enjoyed it anymore. I even had to call the day and talk around and they were so easy and wonderful about it. I recommend the red I had, Cotes-Du-Rhone."
