"Really expensive and the food looks better than it tastes. Gimmicky. Cocktails good but only small selection. Dessert ice cream cone thing was obviously put together earlier then frozen as a complete plate, which meant stale popcorn. Yuk! That shouldn't have made it onto anyone's table.<br>

Super expensive for what you get. Some interesting flavour combos but kind of extreme and overdone. Flavours off the mark and ~~ worst of all ~~ food not fresh!<br>

I was really looking forward to eating here but my mouth was not pleased. So, of course now I have to whinge about the price too. $25 for a couple of roasted carrots with dry quinoa scattered on top, and $35 for a small poutine?? Insanity. I don't know how this place stays in business because it's not like it's even good! Rather waste my money at the gretz because at least the bar food tastes good there."

"Real wood fire pizzas !! Not many toppings, but that's how I like it! The menu is small, so everything is exceptionally fresh and you can say that everything is handmade. We take many people here and they always love it. Can not book, but the service is fast, so that sales is pretty fast."

"Came here on a whim and peeking through the window, we were sold. You are invited through the small frontage to an array of delicious looking baked good all laid out on the coffee counter and front sil. You can opt to sit in the sunnier front of the cafe or move down into the ambiently lit area in the back. Staff are friendly and attentive and the menu looked very interesting.<br>

We ordered the sticky chai, tumeric latte, pork belly burger and duck dumplings with noodles and soup as well as brownie and cake to go. <br>

The tumeric latte($4.5) was nicely spiced but the kind of tea where you leave a little behind in the cup due to the tea sediment in the cup. The sticky chai ($5) was great on the cold day and the serving was very generous. <br>

Our mains arrived quickly and the burger was the winner. The bread to filling ration was great, the filling was nice with a sauce that will dribble down your chin. It lacked a bit of sharpness for our tastes but it was a minor complain as our empty plate proved.<br>

The duck dumplings were an interesting dish. The noodles, broth and greens were warm and inviting but very subtly flavoured compared to the dumpling. The dumpling wrappers were a bit soft but the filling was flavourful. It's the sort of meal you try and get one bit of everything in each spoon to strike the perfect balance. <br>

The food was interesting and different which appealed to us and the ambience perfectly suited to fun group conversations or brooding singular contemplation. Will be returning to try other baked goods and menu items"

"Been here a few times. Never left disappointed! <br/ <br/ Service is professional and friendly. Decor is true blue Greek taverna! Love it!<br/ <br/ I would highly recommend the grilled octopus and the lamb! Oh the lamb was so amazing! <br/ <br/ After you pay, Greek style baklava is on the house! What a sweet deal!"

"A once excellent Lebanese place had closed in the same location so when Old City opened we were excited that a similar cuisine replaced it. This turned out to be a disappointment. We ordered takeaway as a sample and were waiting when it came out of the kitchen so the food was as fresh as could be and we ate it in 5mins - Falafels that should be crunchy on the outside and soft inside were a bit chewy, the kibbe lacked spice and we were given labneh instead of baba ganoush. The chicken however was very good. We are locals and normally willing to give anything a second chance but Old City hasn't delivered promising results."

"Went here for a birthday, was quite impressed, pretty much everyone was having the set menu that you can add extra tacos to. Coincidentally we were here on a taco Tuesday so the extras were cheaper, yah! Good set menu with a great variety, Gluten Free catered for and there was only one course that had to be substituted/specified as GF. Good modern take on Mexican fusion such as Chheseburger Spring Rolls Friendly staff, funky decor, good atmosphere Updated from previous review on 2022-01-02"
