"Visited yesterday for a takeaway chippie tea. The staff were lovely but the battered items, fish, onion rings and pineapple rings were very greasy. None of us finished our meals. "Visited this place today for the first time what a fantastic pub the food was delicious we had gammon and the steak and ale pie our starters and sweets were delicious also the service was spot on and all in a lovely atmosphere a real gem would highly recommend."

"What an amazing pub, we were there for Irish Night when the Irish band Parceol were playing, great atmosphere and the staff are amazing….and the food…wowee, we ordered 2 platters, one seafood and one ploughmans , very good indeed and high quality. Passed this pub hundreds of times but it was our first visit….and it certainly won’t be the last, our two little dogs Pixie and Minnie enjoyed it. Thank you all Lord Douglas Weake and Lady Catherine Hague."
