"Once again, I landed in Hamburg at the end of a service trip and had received the rental car for the rest of the time. The “filling” on board was exhausted in a snack bar, so I was hungry. So not directly on the highway, but on Norderstedt and on Ulzburger Straße. The restaurant has its own parking, a significant advantage in this area, as public parking is thinly sown here. When entering, I was kindly greeted by an employee behind the counter, on my question of a table for a person, he offered me various tables in the only weakly occupied restaurant to choose from. I chose a table at the window and took place there. Right after that, I got the menu from a young female service. The offer includes the usual standards, unusual dishes, as mentioned by other critics here, I have not noticed. On the other hand, I noticed that as a normal supplement, tomato rice is provided in most cases, with other dishes also roast potatoes, but no fries. After brief consideration, I ordered the young “Kos-Platte, 1 Souflaki and Gyros with tomato rice and salad” (11.90 € ), where I ordered roast potatoes instead of tomato rice, which was possible without problems. As a drink I ordered a big special. The restaurant is very trimmed in Greek by its furnishings, the walls are covered with replicas of antique stones, in all window niches and also in other places small replicas of antique statues stand. The furniture is rather old German in oak rustic with seat cushions in yellow and orange. The table tops with plastic surfaces, on top table runners in yellow, on it a beautiful glass wind light with tea light in it, which burned on all tables. Salt and pepper mills made of wood complete the table fitting. After a short waiting period a waiter came and brought the salad, in addition a basket with bread, a plate with a small bowl with Ajvar, the specific with half a lemon slice in it and finally put an ouzo on the table with the remark: “Vitamine!” The salad consisted mainly of white wort and iceberg salad, with some radicchio and a slice of sheep cheese. The whole thing was poured over with a plentiful portion of cocktail sauce, which was certainly not touched by itself. The empty salad plate was removed by a young waiter, about two minutes later he served the main dish. In addition to a good portion of roast potatoes, I found a pretty bunch of gyros, covered with some onion rings, and on it the spit. The Gyros was excellent, beautiful medium to large pieces with very good grill crust and clearly recognizable individual meat layers. The meat was overgrown, but the fat spots were very well grilled out. Also the pieces of meat on the skewer were very good, tastefully flawless, but probably a trace too long, it could have been more juicy. The roast potatoes were a bit thicker cut than I know from other restaurants in the Hamburger Umland, they were made quite clear fresh, hot and crispy, but there were missing some crumbs of salt for my taste. This problem could easily be solved with the salt mill. Overall, however, the food was very good, but the portion was not to be handled for me. The four services in total were quite attentive, courteous and very friendly, it was asked several times if everything was fine with me, but I could not resist the impression of a certain lack of plan, whether the several different people who were in use at my table. In the meantime, the toilet was sought out as bright and modern, the installed technology was up-to-date and functional, the room was clean and well maintained. Conclusion: A Greek restaurant (almost like many others, with very tasty food and large portions at even moderate prices. But I couldn't recognize a real unique feature."

"We have been here twice and I look forward to the next visit. from a map of various ingredients, you can assemble yourself a burger, so there should be something for everyone. the meat is very juicy and the burger tastes great. I usually get along with a (divided appetizer and a double burger pommes, but here the portions are very luxuriant so that at the first visit there is a lot left over from the burger. that is of course not a problem, should only serve as a help to estimate the portion-sized; it is of course not a mcd level, but for a good burger I like to pay a few euro more. until soon!"
