"Great staff. Very clean. The food was good, but pricey. I got a salad and a plain hamburger patty to go home (for my dog) and an unsweetened tea. $25.50. I thought that was too high."

"Our server was amazing! Our food was hot, fresh and delicious. Our server felt confident in giving her opinions on things to try and we chose those items and were not disappointed! We did have to wait a bit for food but it was in the middle of lunch rush and we had 4 plates plus appetizer at our table. 15 minute wait tops. I loved them bringing out ice cream of the day samples to help us choose our desserts. I loved the retro style atmosphere. My kids had a great time and enjoyed their fresh in store made ice cream with sprinkles."

"We stopped in around 1230pm on a Friday after a morning hike. We did not go inside because we had our dog with us, so we sat outside. There are about 4 tables in front that are under a covered area. As each customer came up or were leaving there was someone greeting them or thanking them. That is a nice touch. While we were looking over the menu, one if the employees asked if it was ok for our dog to have a burger. We said yes. They brought her a chopped up burger. Great job thinking about our furry family member. I order a classic burger and doubled it. It was definitely a classic burger. The bun was very soft and fresh. The cheese was perfectly melted. The burger was juicy but not running down your arm juicy. The burger was awesome and would get again. The fries were good but not great. The service was very good and attentive to more than our needs. They are opening one in Hardin Valley. We will be there for sure."

"I ate at this place at it's old location and loved it. This was my first trip to the new place and it was a 100% let down. I had family from out of town and talked it up pretty good based on my previous visit a few years prior. We went around 2:00 in the afternoon and was only one of three groups there. Our server was real nice, but seemed to be the only person in the place working. After being seated, we started ordering just to find that they were out of 40% of the items we requested. Once we settled on what we wanted, it took a great amount of time to get our food. The sign quoted a 25 minute food wait and it was every bit of it if not more. Once the food came to us, we were told they were out of one of the sides we ordered. We just went without that item at this point. They failed to bring one of the ordered items and so we just went without it as well. The bacon cheese fries were pitiful with very little cheese. The bathrooms are unisex, but they are multi-stall bathrooms, so be sure to lock the door if you don't want a gender specific person walking in on you or your kids. Over all I was not impressed and will not ever be a customer again. If this was the service for three groups, I would hate to see it if it were full."

"Food was fine but I had an issue with payment. After placing my order, the credit card machine lit up waiting for a card (like they all do) and it showed the tap to pay logo. I had my phone ready and as I was tapping my phone, the cashier said that Apple pay doesn't work. I laughed and said are you sure about that because it just did thinking that she was either joking or misinformed about technical problems that may have previously been fixed. She repeated that Apple pay doesn't work on their systems. By that time, just a few seconds after paying, I had an alert on my phone from my bank that my card had been charged, and even their register saw the card payment and completed the sale and printed the receipt, so clearly it was working fine. Instead of handing me the receipt and telling me the order number, the cashier said nothing else, took the receipt, and disappeared to the back of the restaurant for a few minutes and left me standing there wondering if she was coming back with my receipt and to tell me what my order number was so I could get the food I just paid for. It was so awkward that the cashier at the other register noticed something was wrong and asked if she could help. I explained what happened but there wasn't anything she could do.The cashier returned after a couple minutes and handed me the receipt and said they'd allow the payment this time but not to use Apple pay (tap to pay) in the future. When I asked what the problem was, she either didn't understand it herself or was trying not to say too much but she said enough that I figured out that management didn't want people to use cards because of the service charge they have to pay for each transaction.So basically management had instructed her to say the card machine was broken so they could trick customers into paying cash to save the typical 1.5 to 3% bank fee on credit card transactions (Not sure what their exact bank rate is for processing cards). This seems dishonest to me, so I'll gladly honor their management's request not to pay by card and won't pay them anything in the future. Instead, I'll go to other places that don't feel the need to lie to their customers just to save a few pennies.This has to be one of the weirdest experiences I've had at a fast(ish) food place. Normally you expect occasional issues with the service or food not up to standards but this is the first time in my multiple decades of eating that I've ever had someone tell me not to use a card for payment because management wants to save money."
