"Donovan 's Home Plate Cafe is under new ownership. Improvements have been made in all phases from the kitchen to the exterior and including new flooring in the dining room. The place is clean and orderly. The staff is extremely friendly and on top of their game. I even met the owner who clearly has a firm grasp on the turn around of this diner. I tried the 1/2 pound patty melt, and it did not disappoint. The marble rye was very crispy yet decadent. The patty was juicy and melted away with the cheese and onions on top. I 'm looking forward to trying the other burgers, but I 'll be highly tempted to order that darn delectable patty melt again. I rarely order pie, but I got a slice of blueberry covered in whipped cream. It was delicious, as it wasn 't overly sweet. The crust kind of blew my mind because it was somehow like a short bread cookie. They have a big menu which includes all day breakfast and even offers adult beverages like beer and mixed drinks. Of course, they have bottled Sun Drop and daily diner specials like Monday meat loaf and Friday fish. How about Friday fish for breakfast? They got you covered there too. Write a review on Google or Facebook and get a dollar off your meal. So, slide on into Home Plate, and you 'll be, Safe! ...and satisfied! Vegetarian options: Vegetable forward breakfast and sandwiches are available. Parking: They have a sizable parking lot. Wheelchair accessibility: Seems that way.
