"We visited with our son family, who live in the village! Highly recommended locally, we not only had a family dinner, my wife myself slept here as well! The food was superb, freshly made pasta, a good selection of meals! We were made to feel welcome, the kids felt at home, things for them to do! I would think it essential to book, very popular! My wife and myself stayed the night, apartment/room was very clean and spacious! Bathroom creams sewing repair kit! Plenty of hot water, not always available elsewhere! The food was exceptional, freshly made pasta a good selection of meals! We were made to feel welcome, the kids felt at home! My wife myself stayed in one of their rooms! Super clean, well supplied with bathroom creams even a sewing repair kit! Very spacious apartment with super hot water! We cannot praise them enough! Superb! You really need to book, very popular!"

"Wir wohnen ganz in der Nähe und sind öfters mal zu Gast in der Krone. Und als "Einheimische" wissen wir, wie schwer es Restaurants hier in Grenznähe zu dem wesentlich günstigeren Deutschland haben. Will man Gäste anlocken, muss man sich als Wirt/in etwas einfallen lassen! Und das gelingt dem Ehepaar Schmid ganz offensichtlich. Die Krrone bietet regelmässig Spezialitäten. Seien es besondere Burger, zubereitet mit ausgezeichneten lokalen Produkten oder die nun beginnenden "Griechischen Wochen". So geht es das ganze Jahr...immer findet man in der Krone etwas spezielles. Dabei ist die Krone kein luxus Restaurant und alles andere als abgehoben. Das schlägt sich dann auch in den (für Schweizer Verhältnisse) durchaus akzebtablen, günstigen Preise nieder. Auch sonst bietet die Krone einiges. Von der Tandem Vermietung für Touristen bis zum kostenlosen Shuttle für Einheimische nach Hause, wenn es denn mal ein Gläschen des ausgezeichneten, lokalen Weines zu viel war. Die Krone ist ein einfacher Landgasthof mit ruhiger, hübscher Gartenterasse und dem besonderen Touch."

"That's called real customer service! Although La Palma doesn't open until 1730 on Saturdays, it opened at 1400 for a birthday party (and only for 7 people). Everything was beautifully decorated and service was perfect as always. There's nothing more to say about the food. It's just fantastic!!! Thanks to the whole La Palma team! We'd love to come back."
