"What a pleasant surprise this restaurant was. Tucked away up a side street in a very quaint building with an on site museum. The hosts were very welcoming to our party of 8. We had an excellent evening, the meal and ambiance were superb. Very good value when compared with other establishments in the village."

"Sitting at the adjacent restaurant Les Brevettes, we would look at Chez Leon and wonder why it was seldom busy. Stopping to look at the menu when skiing past it seemed reasonable enough. So we gave it a try and the first thing we noticed...was no credit or debit cards (not ideal when the only cashpoint in the town had run out and was not due to be topped up until 2 days later) and uniquely a €5 supplement per head. There were 10 of us so we were €50s down before ordering. The food was very basic but poorly cooked and presented. The server was pleasant enough but the owner sitting on the adjacent table (there was a photo of her on the cover of the menu) couldn 't trouble herself to ask after us. I wonder if the locals on her table also paid €5 each supplement? Food arrived sporadically and the coffee was cold. Not a patch on our experience at Les Brevettes. As with all reviews, you have to try these places out for yourself but we 'll not be returning.The food was also ridiculously expensive e.g. €15 for a crepe with ham and an egg."

"We were a party of 30 in Sainte Foy skiing for New Year and overall we had a wonderful trip. There are numerous restaurants to go to but Let Maison a Colonnes is right on the slopes with wonderful views. Unfortunately that is as far...a my compliments will reach. We went for lunch with seven very hungry children. The waiting staff are absolutely intolerant and impatient. They hurried us through making decisions about what to eat and the ordering process was stressful to say the least. We waited for our drinks for what seemed like an age and eventually they came. Next the food for the adults. We had all finished and still the children's food had not appeared. We asked several times and were told they were very busy and it was coming. In the meantime we watched as they bought the same food, chicken nuggets and chips, out to other customers who had arrived later than us. Eventually, a full hour after we had finished our meals, we went inside to speak to the owners as the children had still not been fed. His attitude was the worst I have ever experienced. We tried, in vain, to speak French albeit badly and the owner refused to understand. He claimed he did not speak English yet he understood what we were saying to one another. He topped it off by saying that if we could not speak French he was not interested!! We did try! The food was ok but the service is the worst I have ever experienced. Such a shame as this really should be an absolute goldmine. I would not recommend it to anyone and we did not return again. There are lots of other wonderful places to eat where the service is friendly and the food excellent."

"A little out the way but worth the trip! We always found space to sit, maybe due to location. Excellent service, lots of space inside. Drinks were always of high standard, and waffles were tasty. Importantly for skiers there is a large wood stove in...part of the dining area, and toilets are on the ground level. Highly recommended"
When the weather is pleasant you can also eat and drink outside.

"We ate three times in this restaurant this week. I don't understand the last negative opinions of this institution. There are people, many people and the service follows without problems! warm and family atmosphere. On the food side, the schuss is able to offer you fast food (pizza, salad, burger) of very good quality. Vegetarian burger is one of the best we ate. We also ate a raclette, with traditional brasero and high quality charcuterie. If you are looking for a reliable, pleasant and quality restaurant, at noon and in the evening, run to the schuss!"
