"Modern Japanese cuisine with hints of French beautifully presented and executed, flavors complete with Umami and great combinations of texture with any morsel of food. Lively and energetic atmosphere with secret surprises. The Sashimi dishes were fresh and cut to perfection. I especially enjoyed the crab and miso croquette and shiitake stuff prawn tempura. Good price for the excellent service from our waiter Bamba. My 5 stars from a Melbourne food."

"Well worth the wait, be prepared to wait during peak periods. You line up at the bottom of the shop and slowly progress up the stairs. This is ok as you can take time looking at their specials plastered near the entrance as you decide what to order. Sushi is fresh and grilled fish is delicious!"

"Mengekijo Genei is a ramen restaurant that imitates a theater designed by a famous architect Mitsuru Kiryu. It is a popular restaurant listed in the 2014 Michelin Guide Fukuoka · Saga. The open kitchen, which can be viewed from any seat, gives you the feeling of being in the theater. Fukuoka's main restaurant is Tonkotsu Ramen, but there are also Shoyu(soy sauce) ramen and carrier noodles featuring onion oil and shrimp. Noodles are homemade in the shop. Seafood soup is used for the soup of tonkotsu ramen, and you can enjoy ramen full of originality. The recommendation of the store is TKG (egg on rice) which boasts itself as the best in Japan. "It is a 5-minute walk from the Tenjin omuta. is a very busy place so it is recommended to book to have the fish boxes with ice at the counter, so the fish is hyper fresh. From time to time someone screams and looks like a fish auction is made. But since my Japanese is nothing good. I never understood. They have a letter anyway. I recommend the tuna burger that is made on your plate when you serve it, with egg on top exquisite everything."
