"I went with a friend for the first time to Luigia last night and was pleasantly surprised by the ambiance and decor inside (which is not well translated on the outside, in my architect's opinion...but that's another story). Anyway, for Covid reasons you download the menu on your phone...and the menu is sooooo long that after a while you just choose something because you can't find the other something that you liked before because it's soooo long. But ok, not a major problem...except, when I ordered a glass of wine at CHF 6.00, I was told they were out but another similar wine was available, so I said ok. Similar in what way, I should have asked, as the price was not similar at CHF 9.50! I suppose I could have gone back to my phone and scrolled all the way to the wine list to see for myself that it was more expensive, however I believe good service should include transparency and I would have appreciated being informed of the price, or offered a wine with a similar price. We had 4 glasses of wine. Same comment for the water a carafe of water costs CHF 2.90 but this was not mentioned by the waiter when we ordered this I am sure it is somewhere on the menu on the phone but to find it...? Also, I saw the answer from the manager on another review, that the water is filtered and so very special but the water from taps in Switzerland in general are excellent and not needing to be filtered. But that's a choice they made and I don't contest that, only that it is best to inform the diner of this cost when ordering, as it is unusual. And if you order other beverages at the table, I really don't think one should charge for water, filtered or not. Lastly on the negative side, you do not receive your bill at your table, where you can take your time to review for accuracy the amounts. You only receive your bill at the exit, in a small, darkly lit area, where you have people waiting behind you to pay...so you pay. Only to realize later that you were charged for water and the wine was over 50% more than what you had initially ordered. And the funny thing is that I spoke to a friend of mine today about my experience and she had the same...the bottle of wine she ordered was no longer available but another was suggested, costing more. She took the time to look again at the menu, ordered a similarly priced wine then the initial one she selected...and when she looked at the bill at home, they had charged her the more expensive wine anyway. On the positive, we loved the food we ordered the pizza and pasta were excellent! I'd go back to try the other items on the menu with the hope that this review has helped management and staff to create an overall better experience."
