"The flower in oberbalm is under new guide and highly recommended. a simple and fresh kitchen is offered. the chef himself is in the kitchen. the map offers a good selection to fair trips. it would be nice if there were still 1-2 original and vegetarian dishes, that is still missing. otherwise a correct enrichment for oberbalm, we will definitely come back."

Feine Weine runden dieses kleine Bijou/Boutique-Ort ab. Schmuckhaft eingerichtet und grandioser Ausblick auf vom ZH-Oberland Richtung Pfäffikersee und Greifensee bis hin weit zu den Juraketten. Das Lokal liegt an der Durchgangstrasse von Hittnau nach Bäretswil -stört aber überhaupt nicht!- auch die Strommasten in unweiter Nähe....die hohe kreative Qualität der Küche kompensiert mit Weitem alles. "The restaurant is in a old for the area of Zurich Oberland typical house. Everything is lovely decorated. The dining room is small and has about 7-8 tables, and there are tables outside - for sure lovely as well during a sunny day. The restaurant offers “Authentic cuisine”, which means that they only serve two 4 course meals; one with fish and meat and one vegeterian.You have the option of taking only three dishes if you wish. We ordered both the classic and the vegetarian, in addition we ordered a children dish as well (veal scallops). All the dishes were prepared with much care and were beautiful to look at. The taste was superb and you could taste the freshness of the ingredients. The service was attentive and extremely friendly. It was our first time, but not the last time. An excellent location for a special evening."

"For my birthday I wanted something special to our children and our growing Swiss family. where they would not expect. or know. we discovered it earlier in the year by total accident and just had to go back. there were nine of us for...lunch and we came with steam train from hinwil. max, his wife and her team have looked after us from the moment we left the train. eating is simple, unpretentious and beautifully cooked to order. the Croatian beer and wee are. book and lose time with friends. if the weather is nice, they can eat on the platform. or instead inside in the former house. for anyone who loves the railway, the ware is a sniffed nostalgic joy! I just can't thank them enough for the experience. only one point when they get out of the country, please take cash. because they are not foreign credit cards."
