"We have eaten here on many occasions and took my son and his fiance for lunch. The menu has completely changed and has become a bit too clever by half. The foie gras was presented as a beautiful strawberry and was very good but my crab and avocado starter was disappointing again beautiful presentation but sloppy and short of crab on the inside. We had a fish dish which didn't even resemble a fish and I'm honestly not sure where it had gone, two beef dishes which were apparently good but a bit tough and a boring chicken dish. The wine list is extensive but expensive, the sommelier was rude and the service is OK, It is such a pity as we always enjoyed eating here but overall it was not a patch on what it used to be. Interesting to note too that there are no reviews beyond December 2017."

"My old schoolfriend and I were travelling from her holiday home and needed an overnight stop, with dinner. Remembering my good experience of some while ago, I said we should head for Villa Noue . A phone call told us there were rooms free, and we arrived to be met with a welcoming greeting from Sue O 'Grady. Soon afterwards, we were seated in the attractive restaurant area, and enjoyed a delicious freshly cooked meal. As I had remembered, it is Cornelius Sue 's husband who conjures up the excellent meals from a sensibly priced menu card. It was good to be able to continue our journey next day, feeling refreshed and having eaten a tasty breakfast. Well done, this husband and wife team. I shall be recommending you to family and friends!"
