"I made a to go order purchase on Sept 24, 2012 and paid with my debit card. Two days later an unauthorized charge of $26.76 was made on that same debit card. I contacted the owner, Lawrence, who refused to do anything about it and would not provide me with his record of the unauthorized charge. My debit card was in my possession at the time of the fraudulent charge. Someone there, and Lawrence was the only person I dealt with during my previous vist, got my debit account number and entered it to create the unauthorized transaction. I would not recommend doing any business whatsoever with these people. They are nothing but thieves who will steal money from you by fraudulent means. Steer clear of this establishment and at all costs."

"Duckroost remodeled after flooding in August 2016. Very clean facility. Had meals here in the past. First time to taste test the boudin for me, as I share same with family. The Jay Ducote Radio Bite Booze Talk Show 107.3 FM did a Capital Baton Area Boudin Taste Test. Out of their 11 local choices Duckroost was judged as number 4 of preferences. Boudin is offered hot and ready to eat (which I purchaded), also available in the frozen section. Reasonable pricing for quantity served. Had a very good flavor with a balance of rice and pork and packed well in the casing well. For me, it was too spicy (too much salt pepper). But family members liked it!"
