"I like this place, but I've been on my way for a few decades. I was there when it was Don Jose. I like the blue cheese. Extremely fast service during lunch, but not for weekends. Not sure what went wrong, but sat in the bar area and got really slow service on Saturday for lunch. It wasn't so busy. In half an hour you couldn't even get two margaritas in the bar area! A great place on weekdays, just not safe over weekends."

"It was 95 out side and about the same inside. No fans running. Food was mediocre that day 8/28/23. They also charge for chips and salsa. I spent $50 for 3 burritos. Tables were not clean. I don’t see me going back."

"So my grandson and I walked in at lunchtime, we were seated by the new manager, Nancy, she was incredibly friendly and you could tell she is very customer service oriented. We were waited on by Jaime V. He brought us chips and two salsas, like we asked. Hewas very attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. This is a change, because usually when I come in here I get reallybad service. And I’m a good tipper! I would travel to the Tustin El Torito, but this one is closer to my home. And mygrandson loves going out for Mexican food. He always only gets rice and beans. It’s all he will eat. My only complaint is, Iordered a side of refried beans and a side of rice and they come in these really small cups. That’s not the case at other ElTorito’s. I wish they were more consistent. The salsa was fabulous! I’ve never had it so good at this location!"
