"Extremely slow service, and the manner of the barista serving (Sunday morning), was unfriendly. I felt demeaned over an error with my order and as if he wanted to pointedly make it clear that this was my fault (when he had forgotten the extra request), and that he was irritated by it. Overall, an unpleasant exchange that left a lingering bad feeling."

"Eight friends were visiting the nearby Pendon Museum and needed a lunch break. Liam and his mother were super helpful. A private room a good selection of beers (including Butcombe) and a comprehensive pub lunch menu. Those who had the sausages and mash were still talking about them as we drove home to Somerset! The Fishpie was full of fish including smoked haddock, with plenty of cheese and a giant prawn for topping. The burger was pronounced excellent too. The Abingdon brewery Loose Cannon was remarked upon too. Large Sauvignon Blanc went down well too. We did not give more than a couple of hours notice for our visit but received a warm welcome. Food and drink were exceptional. A great pub."

"My contribution london marathon celebratory meal: that was my 2nd visit to zigana and it has just cemented the status of my favorite restaurant in didcot. it speaks volume of the place I chose it for my post-marathon feed after only 1 previous visit! excellent service, high quality food and beautiful people. we let them know that we come in advance and they allowed my family to decorate the place a little and even given me a free bottle of wine as a congratulation for my performance. the personal was excellent, and I was treated like a hero, all had a chat and a photo with me. but more about eating: I ate 14 dishes at this special visit (I know, right, marathon running is hungry business, not judge me! ... so it's fair to say, I feel pretty qualified to judge the quality of food. in full, I ordered: all 8 meze dishes grilled sucuk calamari lamb guvec zigana cooked sekerpare rice pudding I enjoyed every single dish, but the hangings had to be the hummus, calamari, grilled suk and the lamb guvec. the lammguvec was boiled to perfection, the lamb was so tender that it was practically dissolved in mouth. if they are a lover of lamb, I recommend this court. the kalamari was beautiful and crispy and not chewing at all. the grilled sucuk is a type of spiced Turkish sausage for those who do not know it is somewhat different from the rest of the menu and it is a tasty egg. very tasteful and finally the hummus was simply delicious and creamy. I don't even find the words to describe the meal correctly, because I'm still cracked by today's marathon ensemble! but I tried my best. in the ground when they live in didcot and they were not yet in zigana, they do one themselves please and enter it."
