"An unpretentious hostelry run by a husband and wife team, with Monsieur looking after the front of house (alone) while Madame does all the cooking, which is more homely than haute cuisine, wholesome and well presented (often on particularly beautiful crockery). Service was extremely friendly...although somewhat slow frenetic. The menu du jour starter on the day we visited was an enormous bowl of cabbage salad which would have been a challenge to complete for even the biggest cold cabbage phile, and the quenelles of ice cream were frozen absolutely solid (to the point that one worried about breaking the beautiful plate attacking them) but these are minor points in what was a fun, tasty and great value lunch we will return."

"Visited for lunch after a lovely car run there was of us and as usual the fed was excellent. Served swiftly and always with a smile. Food was delicious as normal and we had a lovely varied choice."
