"A good friend led us to this very fine restaurant/café, which is located directly north of Lac du St Cassien, just before the roundabout. A bit spicy with fast traffic and small parking. But it is a parking lot and right next to the restaurant. Be careful. And it's worth it. The food is cooked to order and always good. We've eaten here a lot. Lunch is also a real value. Don't miss it."

"Have been coming to this area for 10 years now, and had never tried here before. So, intrigued by the number 1 status, we booked on a Tuesday night after Easter. We were the only table there all evening! Service was great - nice open fire on a cool April evening. Good starters - lentil soup light and tasty, salmon good. However the main courses were disappointing, my osso bucco was far too lemony, and the tagliatelle and foie gras was uninspiring - heavy, slightly over-salted and just far too generous a portion! Desserts were equally disappointing. A shame, as it was welcoming and promised so much, but, for us, it was a case of expensive ingredients not used well.Won't be back as it was 140 euros for 4 and there are much better meals to be had for a little more money by venturing 20 minutes or so by car further afield"

"After getting frustrated by the divertions because of the paris to nice cycle race we remembered that we had eaten at Les Arbousiers several years ago. We arrived very late to eat and Imthink they had finished service however they were nit put out at all and treated perfectly. We were not disappointed. We sat in the sun overlooking the lake. Faboulous views. Delightfully charming lady served us. Imthink another lady was cooking. We had veal chop deliciously rosie with salad and perfectly cooked french fries. Together with a glass of red wine it hit the spot!! Thank you very much. We will be coming back tomorrow on our way to nice airport!! I think we are going to be regulars."

"Intimidating staff. One particular waitress who brought us the wrong order and when politely corrected insisted we take the food. Upon refusing to take and pay for said food the waitress proceeded to march out two other members of staff in an attempt to pressure us. With a group of staff stood around smoking, staring at us and gesturing we were made to feel too uncomfortable to stay so asked to take the food we actually ordered to go. This took a very long time and after asking for the bill the waitress proceeded to clean all the cutlery in front of us instead. We were forced to go to the bar to pay where we apologised for any confusion to the bar tender, whilst the waitress shouted and gestured across the restaurant to try and add the extra food onto the bill. Do not go here. It was the most horrendous experience we have ever had."

"I ceased using this restaurant several years ago because of abominable service. Frequently passing by it looked somewhat different with a rather nicely constructed shaded front terrace. We booked for an early evening meal were greeted seated but we were place right below a loudspeaker which lived up to its name. I immediately asked to be moved to a quieter location as loud pop music is neither my choice not in keeping with the restaurant ambience. Being moved only diminished the noise slightly however I decided to go along with it as my partner I could at least hear each other. A little time after another couple did exactly the same asked to be moved. The service was good the food I must say was nicely presented cooked exactly as requested, the pichet of local wine too was very drinkable. The music continued with Madness singing about 'MY HOUSE ' on on.... The desert too was excellent. Final comment...The ambiance due to the Pop music was more reminiscent of a PUB. Such a shame as all of the ingredients were in place to be a comfortable restaurant."
