"We placed an order for 2 x Fish Suppers and waited patiently for 30 mins. Turns out they missed our order so we had been waiting for longer than we should've been. I was also spoken to very rudely by one of the members of staff. The food was good but overall wasn't worth the wait or bad service."

"Had a few days away in Edinburgh so decided to go to Portobello Beach. While there we decided to have a takeaway Fish and Chips to eat on the front and found this remarkable place. The Haddock and chips were the best I have had in a long time and the couple who own the establishment were lovely, genuine people. Could not fault the Golden Bite at all and will certainly be back when next in Edinburgh."

"Quite possibly the worst chips I’ve ever had in my entire life. 6pm Friday night, stopped for 3 packets of chips juice. The lady was busy, fair enough but so busy she asked me if I wanted anything on them twice, sadly one packet was double salted. Got in the car and parked up to scoff before we went into the theatre wow. Rank. They were burned and tasted disgusting. Place was packed, if I was eating in, I would have 100% sent them back. We won’t return, if you can’t get the chips right what else is wrong. I don’t give very many, if at all 2 stars. I certainly can’t remember the last."
