"The Gesecus is the smallest guest house in Altenburg with 22 indoor seats and with beautiful weather 12 outdoor spaces. A very good regional house kitchen has been offered here since 1902 in the family house with a rustic guest house. For the clear map there is a daily lunch dish. On the day of the visit it was Lentil stew with blood sausage for 4.80. It tasted very delicious, although lentil stew is not my thing.. Lunch is available from 4.50 € to 8.50 €. On Saturday is open only for pre-registrations and also on Sundays. Smaller groups also have the opportunity to meet in the popular Gesecus."

"From the outside I was there in the evening, something questionable. But the first impression can be deceived. Very friendly welcome, very nice services, both female and male. And both very attractive. I had expressed particular wishes which were politely accepted and fulfilled as desired. Both at my drinks and at dinner. The food was very tasty ubd so plentiful that I (despite great hunger) did not make about 1/3. I'm passing all over the federal territory, but if I'm near Altenburg, I'd like to come back."

"The Opitz family runs a restaurant with wild and other meat specialities. Also a vegetarian dish for our daughter was offered, great. The restaurant near the Agneskirche seems very popular, we got a third but noich table. The service told us that many guests reserve. My husband had the wild plate with numerous (different) meats, delicious! I had pheasant breast fillet and was very excited. Wonderful, a praise to the kitchen!!! It is also great to eat (before) a richly beautiful and appealing salad plate has been placed. Great! A great experience. Luckily we'd have got another table or we'd have been upset. Small tip: best to book in advance if you want to. Sure is safe! Absolutely recommended. we like to come back!"
