"What a stunning hotel Meldrum House is! It is absolutely beautiful and you get such a great sense of luxury when you enter from the main gate. Toni at the reception was so courteous and friendly. She politely provided all the information and the check in didn’t take more than a couple of minutes. When I opened the door and walked into the room I was once again surprised. The room was really very spacious. I have never seen such a wide entrance to any hotel room. The room was ultra modern. Beautiful decor, curtains, side tables, headboard bed lamps. The toilet was also so spacious and modern. Shower area was very wide with a rain and a hand shower and toiletries were also fantastic! The breakfast was very simple and, to be honest, a bit of a disappointment. You can order the main breakfast from the menu otherwise there were very limited amount of pastries, fruit and cereal available on display for you to take from. It took over 10mins to get a coffee but it was nice. Order French Toast on first day and didn’t realise it comes with Bacon. I apologised as I completely overlooked but Jeremy who brought it was extremely courteous, took it back and brought me a new one! He had the perfect attitude and that’s what you expect at a property like Meldrum House. There was no cheese available, no bread and you had to ask them to get you some bread. Overall, breakfast was a real disappointment. In the evening, had the dome booked for dinner. It was a really great experience. The service was great also. Food was nice, overpriced but that’s what you expect at a hotel like Meldrum House where you pay for the ambiance. In conclusion, Meldrum House is an extremely nice place to stay and relax for couples. I wouldn’t say it is for families with young children though.
