"Overall very pleased with our experience at this Chinese. On our holiday so didn’t have any knowledge of takeaways in the area, we looked at the reviews of all the local takeaways and seemed none were outstanding so took pot luck. We ordered several dishes, all were plentiful, cooked well, tasted great and were above our expectations, the only negative I’d say was the chips which seemed a little old/sad but perfectly ok and not a problem for me. I’d definitely return for another Chinese meal here without hesitation if we were in the area again and certainly recommend it to anyone visiting. 9 out of 10 for us, losing a mark for the chips."

"Fantastic chippy and beautiful staff. since the move to butgel we have now used 4 times village chippy. we have always ordered on the phone and arranged a pick-up time. the fish is always fresh and the chips are not one. we love the curry sauce with a jumbowurst. the personal is really friendly."
