"Mit meiner Freundin besuchte ich am Samstag den 09.04.2016 das Speiselokal des Stadtpalais Wertheim. Nachdem kurzfristig leider kein Platz frei war, wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass fünfzehn Minuten später ein Tisch zu bekommen wäre. Als wir wieder eintrafen, wurde uns ein Platz zugewiesen, dessen Tischtuch voller Flecken und Krümel war. Da wir aber Hunger hatten, ließen wir uns davon nicht beirren und bestellten.Zum Auftakt bestellten wir zwei Rhabarbersirup aufgegossen mit Graf Spritz (Empfehlung auf schwarzer Tafel). Nachdem wir beide den Eindruck hatten, Holundergeschmack zu erkannt zu haben, wurde uns auf Nachfrage bestätigt, dass es sich um Rhabarbersirup handelte. Die Farbe (gelblich) des Getränks, unsere Geschmacksnknospen und ein nachträglicher Blick auf die im Internet abrufbare Speisekarte bestätigen unsere Ansicht, dass es sich definitiv um Holunder und keineswegs Rhabarber gehandelt hat. Von der kaum vorhandenen Kohlensäure des "Graf Spritz" ganz abgesehen. Sicherlich waren wir nicht die ersten Gäste an diesem Abend, aber "Spritz" sollte auch spritzig sein.Der Gruß aus der Küche war eine Avocadocreme mit einem ordentlichen Lachsstückchen. Geschmacklich super, allerdings machte meine Freundin den Fehler, ihr Vorspeisenmesser für die mundgerechte Zerstückelung des Lachs zu verwenden. Beim Abtragen des Tellers wurde ihr gesagt, dass sie dieses wieder vom Teller zu nehmen habe, da sie es ja für die Vorspeise benötigen würde. Die Vorspeisen (lauwarme Maultaschenstreifen und marinierte Rindscheiben) waren wiederum geschmacklich überzeugend. Man konnte schmecken, dass bei der Zubereitung sehr gute Produkte verwendet wurden.Analog dazu verhielt es sich mit dem Hauptgang (Kalbsrücken mit Parmaschinken und geschmorte Aubergine mit Couscous). Auch hier wieder ein exzellenter Geschmack bei perfekter Temperatur.Als Dessert bestellten wir jeweils die Grießflammerie mit Beerenragout. Für 8,50 hätten wir beide da etwas mehr Grießflammeri auf dem Teller erwartet, auch wenn es geschmacklich nichts auszusetzen gab.Für die beschriebenen Speisen zahlten wir inklusive Mineralwasser und zwei Glas offenem Bordeaux ca.110 Euro, was unserer Meinung nach nicht günstig, aber auch nicht komplett überzogen ist. Wir wussten beide, dass wir uns für das Speiselokal und gegen das Gourmetrestaurant entschieden haben, jedoch sollte diese Wahl nicht zwangsläufig zu Abstrichen beim Service führen. Das Essen selber ist, wie beschrieben, für ein Speiselokal als absolut zufriedenstellend zu bewerten."
