"This is a charming restaurant where they are always insured by a warm welcome and good eating. we usually go for Sunday dinner and the set menu is excellent (three courses including a quarter liter wein per person). is especially good, served in a Banyuls sauce or with cries when they are in season. also wonderful is their civet de sanglier, in which is usually served in the hunting season. the set menu starter is always a dish made of charcuterie and a dish with anchovy and hard boiled eggs. the environment is wonderful, a bit like an alpinchalet surrounded by kiefern, and next to the restaurant is a way that leads to Spain. there are plenty of parking next to the restaurant. this is one of our favourites to eat and is highly recommended for excellent, good food and a warm welcome."

"This is a completely unpretentious little restaurant serving typical plain Spanish food. But here the chef cares about what he is doing, and it shows. When we sat down he greeted us with a handshake. We shared a lovely salad with grilled goat's cheese and then had pork and rabbit a la plancha. Both perfectly seasoned and cooked, both served with excellent home-made chips and allioli. The desserts are all mass-produced but I never expect much from dessert menus in Spain, and they don't detract from the rest. No menu del dia but food and wine are reasonably priced.More handshaking as we left with a promise to be back. A great midway stop on a circular walk from las Illas to La Vajol."
