"We visited this restaurant on a sunny Friday afternoon in early September. It sits on top of a hill with panoramic views of the fields hills surrounding it and the likes of Pilatus in the distance. The wrap around terrace on the front is in the shade and was cold by lunchtime. The restaurant was full from a coach party so we ate in the courtyard in the back. Which has NO view apart from one stammtisch style table which really defeats the purpose of making the trip. We had a voucher for Cordon bleu, salad and ice cream. The salad ice cream were fine. The cordon bleu was the worst we’ve eaten in Switzerland and we’ve eaten a lot. Dry over cooked meat, no cheese to ooze out and chips so old the dog couldn’t chew them. Absolutely nothing to redeem the place though we should say the service was polite.... This is a restaurant living in the past and milking its position on the landscape. Very disappointing!"

"The guest is warmly welcomed with a friendly smile. the foods are excellently dressed and served on beautifully decorated plates/plates.Fleish and ingredients are mostly from the region and the "grüessli from the kitchen" - a dream. the small sweets served to espresso after eating are from the in-house kitchen.Luthern and the magnificent rural environment are a secret type for hikers and more enjoyable."

"Schön gelegenes Bergrestaurant mit viel Potenzial, das leider nicht genutzt wird.Trotz Reservation (falsch notiert) keinen Tisch und das bestellte Menü war auch nicht vorhanden. Es wurde aber darauf hin alles versucht, die Familienfeier doch noch zu einem guten Ende zu führen.Personal ist in Stosszeiten überfordert und wirkt nervös."

"We came to the restaurant a little cold from a snowshoe hike, covered in snow and with bags and packs, including snowshoes. We had a bit of a guilty conscience because of that, but we were welcomed very friendly. And because only the staff table was free, they quickly cleared it and offered us this table. We felt valued and welcome. We also had a quick conversation with the landlady, she comes from another country and was very friendly. They make a real effort to respect our culture and integrate. Food price-performance tip top. Gladly again."

"Landgasthof mit sehr heimeliger Atmosphäre. Die Gaststube ist sehr schön eingetrichtet mit zahlreichen Details und antiken Schätzen. Durchaus ein Erlebnis fürs Auge. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet, wir hatten Wild welches vom Wirt höchstpersönlich geschossen wurde und wir es somit frisch verspeisen durften! Absolut formidable und wir haben wirklich nichts vermisst. Es wurde immer nachgeschenkt und nachgefragt. Die Zimmer sind einfach eingerichtet aber richtig gemütlich und urchig wie zu Grossvaters Zeiten - und am Morgen in dieser ländlichen Umgebung aufzuwachen ist wirklich total schön!"

"On the way back from the bowl we have returned to a house coffee thanks to the spersome postsuto connections here. everything was very welcoming and we would like to have stayed longer, but had to go to the last bus. the thematic path through the valley was an unexpected discovery!"
