"So excited to finally be here! Have enjoyed their beers from afar for years. Last time we were in town, it was closed due to flooding. Definately where I would hang out if I lived here. Great variety of taps, love being able to get smaller pours. Lots if seating. Several things on the menu I want to try if we stay long enough to eat- Naco Fries, Just the tips beef tip salad, Tex Mex Pizza and pretty much every sandwhich. Only downside was patchy internet/wifi. I managed well but hubsy, alas, did not. He gets himself so worked up over small stuff. I bet he would have had a second flight if he had better luck checking them in. #thisiswhyidrink"

"You have a separate vegan menu with 5 vegan participants. From the food we got, I would say the minenstrone and vegan sausage were great, and the vegan salad and pasta alla boscaiola were good. My husband liked the mushroom paste more than me. It had a little too much parsley for my taste."

"Inconspicuous meagere portions are given here. Chipotle?s eating is consistently good, but some days they literally get half the amount of food than others. I will customize this review if I see a consistent improvement of the portion size from this restaurant."

"Have only stayed in a room there once; came to town last-minute and and there was some convention in town and rooms were hard to get and where I usually stay was booked. The room reminded me of a typical 1950s or 1960s Northern Michigan motel, some still exist , older decor , just a handful of channels on a simple tv, no frills, but everything clean and nothing was broken. So compared to a big ticket hotel I 'd only give it one or two stars simply because no frills but for an old but very clean and SAFE inexpensive motel on an old time state highway turned strip mall/ fast food road, and you 're just there for 8 hours ' sleep and Gone, Five stars. NO sketchy characters lurking around; management is family or friends I think and they watch everything like a hawk. On to the diner that comes with the property : Definitely Five stars for its type, a Grand Rapids classic from another era. Vegan , no gluten , macrobiotic , whatever funky fare, ? I know nothing about whether they do that but for traditional pancakes bacon which the couple next to me washed down with rum Cokes, Har ! Try it ! , oatmeal , scrambled eggs in the AM, and similar Ma Pa fare afterward, Perfect. A Men wearing hats and caps indoors type place as a Grosse Pointe girl we knew called it ; so don 't come in with an attitude. And don 't be demanding. Those in the know in Grand Rapids, many of whom haven 't been in a motel since a family trip to the beach in Tawas City after Fourth Grade in the 1960s, but who appreciate a low key , unpretentious and patriotic, to boot ! spot, swear by this place for the simple but generous meals and no-nonsense but kind people who work there. It 's somewhat like Loveless Motel Cafe in Nashville, tourists welcome but locals are still there in droves, don 't put on airs and make demands and just enjoy some old-time comfort food."
