"I 've been to achimi several times in the past and have recommended this restaurant to so many people. However I will NEVER return here after the treatment I received during my last visit. We ordered sushi, tempura and octopus balls all were lovely. But the 'soba noodles ' we ordered as a main were utterly disgusting. They were made from the cheapest looking noodles possible and seemed to be drenched in an odd tasting sweet and sour sauce which is not mentioned on the menu also I 've had the noodles here before and loved them so obviously they are now cutting corners. I didnt eat the noodles and the waitress asked if I wanted something else so I asked for the prawn fried rice a safe bet I thought. The prawns came on the side of the rice and were drowning in a sweet teriyaki sauce, which I thought was strange but the taste was OK. However the rice was SO salty that it was inedible. And I 'm the kind of person to add salt to everything ! I did not eat the rice and had eaten only one of the weird prawns. When the waitress came with our bill we were charged for both the inedible noodles and inedible rice. My partner asked if we could have them removed as they were not to our liking and the waitress told us that they would remove the noodles but not the rice. Because the rice was our replacement dish for the one we didn 't like, even though it was also inedible. When we asked to instead remove the service charge in that case she disappeared to go and ask. The head chef then came to our table to personally shout at me like a toddler throwing a tantrum and I had to ask him to please stop shouting at me. He then said to me that I should of not eaten the noodles which I didnt and then I should of asked for something else which I did! . When I said I 'd been here before and enjoyed the food he got extremely angry and shouted that he 's been there 15 years and the food has never changed. He also said that it 's impossible to make food to suit everyone 's taste. I really don 't know what to say but I could make better food at home. In the end they didn 't charge us for the noodles and removed the service charge but I don 't understand why we paid for the rice or why the chef had to come and shout at me. We happily paid for the food we ate and enjoyed, but after such treatment I will never go back. Don 't waste your money here unless you want to be shouted at by a mouthy rude man child and then overcharged for the privilege."
