"Been using this restaurant for years. Initially very good but sadly the food is now awful. I use the takeaway service and they get the order wrong all the time! Charge what they like too. Complained about the food and was offered a discount but the food is terrible, like it is reheated. My dishes had that suspicious twang to them,curry was oily with that awful sweet coconut in everything. Ordered chicken tikka masala and spat it out because it was like someone had poured sugar in it. Sorry, no more for me Bhangra Beat, you've lost my custom (average £30 a week, £1560 a year) better for my waistline though!"

"Visited Taj Grill with my family. We ordered the Tawa platter which was nice. However, the hygiene level put us off massively. My son's plate of cheeseburger had a piece of hair in it. We also spotted some ants on the floor crawling up the table. Overall, they need to improve their cleanliness."

"The food was good and the staff courteous..I had ordered vegetarian tava sabzee..it came with hummus and it was lovely.. It also came with salad which had perfect dressing.. The bread was rightly toasted and the stir vegetables were delicious... I had ordered chocolate shake as well but wasn't that great.. The bill did not include the service charge by default, the staff gave an option instead, to pay whatever I wanted to, voluntarily. Overall a good experience.."

"I went here for the first time this week and will return soon. The food was served freshly cooked the cook came to the table to confirm any specific needs. The portions were a very good size and the price was reasonable. We had Thali, it was very filling and i would recommend if two of you go just buy one and share and have extras to fill you up. Our friend had Channa Bhatura, really tasty and served hot. If you go there, allow good time as special requests can take time. We made a request for something not on the menu, the cook came and said give me 15 mins and she produced the goods. Enjoy"

"Since being introduced to this place by friends we have given up on the curry house near us and instead catch the 368 to this one. The food is standard curry house but it's served with care, the atmosphere is friendly and busy, and the staff really welcoming. Prices are fair too."

"This place will never die! as far as I can remember, the gingham kitchen has always been there, and I can see that it is much longer to come.<br/>The gingham kitchen has also, amazing, remained exactly the same for 20 years. the chairs, the lighting, the menus, look exactly how I remember being a child.<br/> but what makes it so good? the next competitor I can think about is wimpy, but in contrast to a wimpy the gingham has a very diverse menu. from grills to salads, italian chilli, prety a lot of everything they may want is on the menu. and some of them are quite simple bonkers. chilli con carne with chips! Madness.<br/> I think this steadfast refusal to change, varied menu and slightly different to normal food will mean the gingham has been here for 20 years."

"Nice people, good service, excellent price: £50 for a platter for 5 people (but we found it plenty enough for the 7 of us! ....lots of different salads, tons of hot pitta bread and humous...plus dips! Well worth a visit...and I've been recommending it to other friends too. Will be visiting again sometime soon."
